Junior Paulo of to the Dragons

So, Paulo is of to the Dragons. Sure he never set the world on fire for us, but our forward depth is REALLY going to be tested next year, particuarly if injuries strike.

Gone : Lowrie, Wright,Cordoba, Latimore & now Paulo. All played first grade last year.

It would be prudent for Eels management to sign another solid forward for contingency purposes- Joel Clinton , Jaiman Lowe anybody???

Surely he wouldn't be on that much again considering his 2 lean seasons at the Bronco's.....Could be on the cheap .

well Joel Clinton or any other player currently under contract could still have part of their contract money paid by their existing club, but I'm sure an expert like you would have already known that lol

Paulo was useless, he didn't even crack the first grade side this year. Couldn't even make the starting side at Wenty by the end of the year. He's 26, has had plenty of years to prove himself but hasn't done so at the top level so he is no big loss. Brod Wright is the biggest loss in my opinion. Forward depth will of course be tested, but we'll just have to rely on young unproven guys to step up when needed. Every club is in the same boat.

absolutely..the guy fell behind the likes of Latimore, Robinson and Mataele...

there's no way he would of put preassure on the guys that are currently there.

Our squad depth is always going to be a bit less the bigger contracts that we offer our star players so that they stay... it's just part of the whole deal.

I think JP for JP is a fair swap to me...

he only has to improve us by one game, I'm sure he can manage that..

Gee Gaba I have read some of your posts about the Eels having a easy ride to the GF and I laughed.
