So, as some of you will be aware, I’m born and bred in the U.K., but have been a Sharks fanatic since the moment ET turned up on U.K. soil playing for Leeds in the mid-80’s.
When we got to the GF in 2016, Mrs Chimp was heavily pregnant, but gave me the ‘go if you want to’ instructions, which clearly meant, ‘if you dare go to Aus without me we’re divorced’…. So
I didn’t, and instead watched the game at home, surrounded by close family who are all also mad sharks fanatics:

Now, I really, REALLY fancy our chances this year - anyone fancy putting me up if we get there? Because this year, there’s no kid on the way, just a Premiership, so my Mrs can get farked!

As I’ve posted before - I was not only overseas but in the jungle with not even an internet connection!!

My son managed to find a location where he could get an intermittent connection, and he found out the result. My family then did a guard of honour for me, but I didn’t initially believe them! Eventually it sunk in!

Disbelief and joy!!!!

I got to go but it was the weirdest game for me.

I normally enjoy a beer or 6 during a game but a mate said to not miss the opportunity to be "present" if we were to win so I had a couple before the game and that was it.

And then I think my brain shut down during the second half when Bromwich then Chambers scored as a self protection mechanism expecting that they were about to run away with it.

Even when Andrew scored I think I was just like super-numb. I cried at the end but as I said, the weirdest game ever for me.

I’m from Yorkshire - there were effigies of Thatcher burned around my way in the 80’s, even when she died, whilst people generally maintained respect, the feeling was not too dissimilar to how the death of Bec Wilson was viewed on here…. Ding dong….

I studied Politics at college, but as it is, I don’t vote (which should be criminal) - but they’re all as corrupt as each other.

haha yep can feel where you’re coming from. I think I was the only person sitting down in the last set of 6. I was so resigned to the fact they were going to beat us after townsend kicked the ball out and gave them the scrum. I couldn’t get excited the entire game. The feeling after was pure relief.
