Just before my message this isnt an anti Saint George thread, just a question to some of their fans.
Why do some people still seem to love Anthony Mundine. This is a guy who walked out on your club not once but twice and helped cost you the 99 grand final by going for glory himself rather than passing the bloody ball. He wa a good player but he was also a selfish barsted and surely two walkouts must show that he doesnt care about Saint George/Saint George Illawarra but himself and himself only, and i just dont see how you can still be a fan of someone like that.

I will think you will find he signed with Super League, thus couldn't play with us, but he came back very quickly

The second time his heart wasn't in the game and he left - which is the right decision if your on $600,000 a year (i'd be fed up if i was week in week out the best five-eight and not get selected in rep teams also)

He was the reason we made the Grand Final and to say he cost us the Grand Final shows what a complete utter dickhead you are. Whether he scores or not we should have never have lost and it was the right decision just poor execution (it was raining that day) and the pass if thrown had the possibility of being intercepted and the player behind Mundine which was Timmins told Mundine to go himself

I don't see the point of judging young people who make career decisions.
Mundine has regularly offered support at training and was on hand for the Mackay Charity match at Kogarah. He still helps out.

Well i must admit i didnt know that he still helps out he Dragons so good on him for that. I justthink he was a very selfish player, and he definately bombed that try in the Grand Final.

Flo wasnt shit, wow he didnt do great in the UK, He did bloody well for the North Sydney Bears in 285 matches for the club, and hes now their general maneger. He tore apart a good Manly team when the Bears beat Manly 41-8 in 97. Flo was a top player.

Are you gunna deny Mundine has an Ego and mouth problem? He was a good footballer, i'll give him that, but he woulda gone alot further if he didnt have such a big mouth and wasnt such and ego man. Hes better in boxing, i'll give him that, where all he has to worry about is himself, and he does alot better there. But I just didnt like him as a footballer.

Basically yep. He was a talented footballer but ruined it all by being a loudmouth with an ego. He wasnt picked in many rep reams cos of that.

Angry Bears Man, you've got nothing.

Choc won Saints countless games off his own back, something Trent Barrett, despite his pay-packet, is yet to do.

Still, with Norths wonderful Premiership record, I'm sure you know what is best for Saints.

I think Mundine was a good player a good to watch, but it pisses me off when players are constantly referring to how good they played, his nicname 'the man' etc, whereas other players can play briantly but have the humility to not go on and on about it. Still Mundine did play some brilliant football at times(Yer Southernsaint, thanks for bring up Norths here, remember where i said this wasnt an attack on Saints etc?).
