Munster is the worry. Think he'll back up Teddy

Yes similar to Hunt playing 9 off the bench. We also have Latrell and Holmes who can do it.

Picking another specialist fullback might not be the way to go. But he is literally the second best in the competition right now. Great reward for him if he gets it.

DCE is the incumbent. He won Origin, he’ll be halfback.
There is no incumbent, Australia has not played in 3 years. Origin was played months ago and was never a WC trial anyway, and even if it were both of them put forward solid claims. Cleary and DCE will both make the squad, DCE on reputation, Cleary on current form in big games. Both will play in pool games. Whoever does the better will play in the big games.

Personally, I'd take the two GF halfbacks.

All the players deserting AUS they need to pick As many players as possible from the PREMIERS

Gutherson, Moses, Lane and Matterson will all make their debuts Mahoney is a huge chance also he is better than Grant and Cook hasn’t been in that great of form lately

Gutherson will have Tedesco, Mitchell, Holmes and if desperate Munster ahead of him at fullback. Moses will have Cleary and Cherry-Evans ahead of him and Matterson has a few in front of him also.

Lane I could see being given a run though

1. DCE won't be picked ahead of Cleary, although I expect both to make the squad.
2. Tedesco will be captain. Whoever out of Cleary and DCE gets the 7 will be vice captain.
3. Suspect Tino hasn't done enough to make the top side but might make the 24 as might Martin. Not entirely enamoured with Crichton either.

Tino is definitely the starting prop lol

Fans: “origin has to be kept sacrosanct as it’s a genuine trial for a kangaroos jersey.“

3 months later, fans: “DCE and Hunt don’t belong in a kangaroos jersey” lol

How many people actually make that argument lol. Also I don’t see how losing a series 2:1 suddenly invalidates the entire year of NRL. Cleary is leading a barnstorming panthers to a likely back to back premiership meanwhile the DCE lead Eagles are falling apart.

I just don’t see how you can pick DCE over him based on form. I feel weird making this argument as in the past I’ve been pretty harsh on Cleary and more positive on DCE than most but I just don’t see how DCE gets picked first.
