Well, he should be.

Twice Victoriuos Blues skipper, current holder of Dally M Player of the year - and guaranteed -barring injury - of being the hooker for the 'roos.

We thnik of test captaincy as a Locketyer v Johns debate. Lockeyer was totally outclassed as a captain and player - Joey ko'd him. However, Joey ain't blues skipper anymore.

Danny Buderis should be test captain.

Nah, Lockyer will keep the Kangaroos Captiancy - His history as captain of the Roos is too good.

Good point....but Bennett is coach...
and Buds dont have a maroon jersey.

Any Roos Capt in the past 30 years is not good?

Lockyer is the incumbent, they won’t just sack the incumbent captain because there is another player in the team that has performed well at other levels. It would take something major for Lockyer to loose the captaincy, like being out injured or retiring from rep footy.

Misty...Lockyer will be captain. It is as sure as the birds singing every morning. When Wally and the QLD lost 3-0 in 1986 he still was captain for the roo tour. It takes more than an origin loss for the captaincy to be taken away. I think you have been swept up in the emotion and not THOUGHT about this enough.

Misty just doesn't like the Broncos and really hates Lockyer for some reason. There is no point in talking about anything to do with the Broncos and Lockyer with Misty, the response will always be the same.

Just because Lockyer had a bad game in a totally outclassed QLD does not warrant him to lose the Captaincy of Australia.

As yet unvictoriuos Knights skipper, soon ex-holder of Dally M Player of the year - and guaranteed -barring injury - of being the hooker for the 'roos.

We think of test captaincy as a Lockeyer v Johns debate. But Buderas was totally outclassed as a captain and player evey game he has played for the Knights - Covell even ko'd him.

Danny Buderis (sounds like an infection when spelt like that) should be test captain.

Buderus is VERY lucky to be able to say that he captained this team to a series win. Apart from game one, he did jack all in the series, and funny enough he did jack all in the 2 games that NSW won.

Smith should be starting Hooker for the Roos.

Here we go.

Lockie will be Tri Nations captain. It'd be creating a saga for no reason to change it. Doesn't mean Johns and Buderis aren't still going to be on the team.

Actually Johns is. The last test Johns played he was captain.

Just because a player misses a game or two with injury doesn't make his replacement the 'incumbent' who cannot be dropped. if it did, then Lockyer wouldn't be captain because Buderus captained 2 test last year when Lockyer was injured.

Cameron Smith was one of the worst players for the

QLD-Landers this year….. Ordinary goal-kicking and

No dummy-half runs.

johns didnt miss one or two tests...he missed close to 10 since his last test mid 2003.
Lockyer missed one test last yr on tour and buderus replaced him as he was vice captain.

That's right, Razor. Johns is the incumbent -Lockeyer is the stand in because of John's injury.

Buderis is the incumbent Blues skipper - maybe due to luck, but luck alays plays a part. Take Lockeyer for example. If the state captaincy had gone to Webcke when Tallis was out, if Joey hadn't have gotten injured.....

If ever a Queensland captain won 2 series straight, he's be skipper straight away.

Buderis has claims to the job.
