since we signed sandow i have been watching him in every souths game you can talk about the missed tackles and the kicks out on the full but here's the thing i've noticed he never stops trying
in the last few weeks he has won games you should have lost by kicking a field goal or throwing a pass for a try at the exact moment you needed it most i'm wondering who will score those points for you next year

Dont feel bad most humans have a superior intellect to monkeys, we will try to go easy on you next year, meaning we will only win by 20 instead of 80, Really your highlight was beating a team vying for the wooden spoon? At least mine was beating a top 8 side, hardly matters if it is sandows year or not, because it is never suttons. ;-)

Mate we beat more than one top 8 side but my highlight was smashing you guys. Anyway this monkey's got to get going but give my regards to
MrT for starting this fantastic and thoroughly entertaining thread

But before I go may I ask

Daneel is it possible there is enough room on your bandwagon for me as
the eels will surely have the momentum of a runaway freight train with Sandow steering them around the park in 2012

KAPOW SANDOW

MrT is a genius

Mate I agree with what you have said . Sandow certainly does try hard and we have won games because of him this year. But I agree with Vossy that he is a rocks and diamonds type player that could lose you a game just as easy as he wins you one.

Anyway mate I wish you all the best for season 2012

CHRIS SANDOW going AWOL in the lead-up to South Sydney's last two games did not go down well with his teammates. The players wanted the Parramatta-bound halfback punted from the top grade for the season-defining clash with the Knights in Newcastle. It's little wonder they turned in such an inept performance with that going on in the background. - Danny Weidler Sunday Herald 11/09/11

I know you guys will say that the Eels will sort Sandow out in regards to disipline
because you have better measures in place. But I am sure you will agree this is extremely disappointing from Chris letting down mates he has played with for up to 4 yrs together. Hopefully Sandow can sort out his off field issues and have a good couple of years at the Eels

Quoting Danny Weedler  Keep clutching those straws champ.

The problem is that there is probably plenty of truth to it.

I suspect a lot of the hopefuls for next year refuse to think that he could be a problem signing.

Plenty of talent but I'm still not convinced he is our savior!

Funny how this story only came out after lol@50uff$ were beaten by Newy, it may be true or it may not but coming from a someone like Weedler only makes me doubt it more. One of the reasons Sandow left the Bunnies was for a change in environment, and who can blame him??? Crowe and that fat Slob Richo are idiots and Lang while a decent bloke and a good coach one upon a time didn't seem to care all that much.

I hope Sandow doesn't pull any disappearing stunts at Parra.

It's a bit worrying. Although it does come from Wiedler, so who knows.

If true I want to know why Souths let him play. Any player in any team would have been dropped no questions asked, you don't just miss training.

In 2006 offseason (i think, may have been 2007) when Liam Fulton turned up to training an hour late because he mis-read his timetable Sheens made him do 2 weeks of 5:30am starts intense cardio sessions.

How does a club let a player go missing and ask no questions during the season, poor form by Chris (and that is worrying in itself) but very poor management as well.

If Chris did this sort of stuff at parramatta regularly then I certain he won't be here for too long. In saying that every player has their ups and downs and makes mistakes, guys like Fittler, Lockyer, Langer, Johns brother and Gower have had their hiccups and alcohol fuelled incidences in their time and most have retired with a rep of being a clean skin.

It isn't like Sandow is in the papers regularly for incidences like Carney or Tim Smith were, he has done some dumb things but so does every kid his age but as long as he matures and learns from his mistakes I'm sure he will do fine here.

Hopefully being around guys like Jarryd, Mannah and Matuia will help him mature.
