The recent moves of Lomax and Haas strongly suggests R360 must be dead and will not get up as muted in 2028.
If you look at the recent defections of Koepka & Reed from LIV golf - PIF (Saudi Public Investment Find) are realising overspending for 2nd rate sport competitions are not worth it.
So Hass misses out on his reported 3-5M per year contract from R360.
Hass misses out on a large contract at the Broncos and the chance to win another few NRL titles with a successful team.
Hass misses out playing for PNG and essentially doubling his salary by paying no tax.
Hass misses out on being based in Brisbane with his family & friends.
Hass misses out on being based in Brisbane and reaping the marketing rewards of being in a 1- 2 team City.
Hass decides to go to the Bunnies - for how much???? and what role (if any) is the Art Dealer playing.
Something is rotten in the state of Denmark!

The rumour is that St George were one of the clubs willing to go all in for Haas and pay over a million plus. But R360 reported offers and contracts shut the whole thing down months ago and NRL clubs turned away from Haas approaches. Souths were keen to keep Keaon right up until they realised Haas wasn’t going to R360 after the NRL threatened to ban players. That’s when they quietly opened negotiations with Haas, while goating St George into signing Keaon on a $1M‑plus, five year deal to take them out of the race for Haas.

It’s no coincidence Keaon and Haas share the same manager 🤔. Souths were never truly interested in keeping Keaon at that point, their eyes were squarely set on Haas. Bennett is a wily old fox.

Or if 360 does get up and running after the World Cup in 27 the bunnies might only have him for a year

Bollocks. The offers from Souths and Parra were still on the table up until he accepted the dragons offer. Money was similar as well. We offered an extra year, so he signed. Souths have done well to replace him with Haas.

We must be paying overs for quite a few players. KK seems to be our only marque player other clubs have upto 5.

Haas has effectively chosen to move out of the penthouse in preference to living on the street with a fentanyl addiction…

True, but remember, we were offered our own thirty pieces of silver to join Cronulla in a similar joint venture, and we refused and fought to stay loyal to our heritage and our brand.
We still have the same brand and heritage. Last I looked, we had a white jersey with a BIG RED V and a St George Dragon emblem. Just because FOX doesn't like that narrative and the jealousy from other clubs who will never achieve the feats of the Dragons, means that our opposition wants to pretend we are a new club. The reality is we are the same club with the addition of Illawarra. So if you want to come on our forum, and discuss footy, do it with respect to our club, or Fxck off with your childish "St Merge" malaki

100% correct mate. I have this argument at work all the time, work mates keep saying we’ve won 1 premiership I keep telling them they’re delusional and are clearly jealous of all our success

Quickest way to elevate their clubs standing in the Rugby League world, is to remove the ones above you. Make no mistake, there is a lingering hatred of our "11-in-a-row" never to be repeated success and the media is one of the main drivers of trying to bring us down to the competitors level. So many clubs have had transformations, but only ours and the Tigers/Wests are considered new. Eastern Suburbs > Easts > Roosters and still called a foundatiion club. Berries > Bulldogs, still considered as starting in 1947. Bunnies > Extinct > reinstated, still considered a foundation club. Manly > Northern Eagles > back to Manly, will still be considered with all their history. Fxck, even Norths who have been gone for decades, will still be considered with all their history.

I suspect that the club with the most to gain with us being considered new is the Roosters and they ARE the media. Anasta, Keary, Fletcher, Channel 9, Freddy, Cronk, Nick Bouris, Mitch Pearce, (I'm sure I have forgotten a few). with us out of the picture, they have the second most premierships and closing fast on Souths. If we hold ALL our history, the Roosters sit 3rd. Uncle Nick and his media mates won't ever speak the narrative of ALL our history. It isn't by accident. The Renewal of the Dragons serves an agenda and that is why we are so on the nose with the media. They hate us for what can never be surpassed. They even tried to run numerous League segments where they were trying to say that 4 Panther premierships in a row was better than the Dragons 11 in a row. The excuse they peddled was that the Panthers did it in the salary cap era. Well whoop-de-do, the rules were the same for everyone in both eras. 4 premierships is awesome but 11 is immortal and impossible.

Agree with alot you say maestro1. This peddling that the Panthers achievement is better than our 11 in a row as it was done in a salary cap era is just jealousy from some commentators. If 11 in a row was easy, why didn't other clubs go anywhere near achieving it?

And this is not to denigrate what the Panthers did. Both are fantastic feats, simply done in different eras.

I however disagree with your Roosters and Dogs analogy. They are the same clubs, there has been no change of ownership or merger, just a name change. The Souths and Manly situations can be argued if they are the same clubs. With Norths, definitely not the same club. It will be interesting if PVL and the NRL try to attach the 2 comps Norths won to Perth Bears as it will go against their argument that we only have 1 and not 16.
