hate to say it but kearney is not a great loss

well we would have been down at least 1 try if he wasnt there last night.
I wonder if kimmorley watched him when he threw that beautiful half backs pass out to covell for that great try.
The bonus being that the right to left pass wasn't intercepted.

Kearney is easily one of our best attacking players.
But we don't have the talent to utilise him as a Slater, Stewert and Minicello are utilised by their teams.

He is basically used as battering ram to bring the ball back and catch bombs.

He needs to go to number 7 in place of the predictable dinosaur where he can get the ball in realistic line breaking opportunites and have more chances to display that 'X Factor'.

He showed last night in our try he is quick link man.

At the moment he is a good player wasted and getting hammered.

Why do so many think it's a good idea to start blooding rookies 3 weeks out from the semis?

Which 3 rookies?

I think Orcher is due, and Sticky mentioned it a few weeks ago he was next in line if we got an injury for the backs.

I don't think we'll lose anything replacing Misi with Brown, and it gives us a fullback option if things go pear shaped with Orcher.

he can be yes

but his positional play is ordinary - not putting himself in there or where he should be

why he is not hanging off gal's ass with the amount of off loads he gets away amazes me

those guys you mentioned also create from nothing - kearney is no where near their league

Bird has been fairly quiet as well. Hopefully both will start firing shortly or I can't see us advancing far in the finals.

Bird has returned earlier than he should have thats why he is comming off the bench.

It's not a bad idea easing him back into it, should be up to full fitness come finals time.

As for Kearney we are better off without him atm, he has offered nothing in attack and is suspect at the back.

I wrote it in English.

Reading it in English is a better way to go.

Before the game in some thread or other I wrote how Kearney has been playing wounded.

Well that's not even gonna wash with me now. I don't give many chances, maybe that's been noticed, and he's used all his up now. Read Surely's post and add to it that BK is not running straight on kick returns, is not making any metres anywhere, has lost the mojo, will NOT catch the ball on the full (I think he can't jump actually), gets into a terrible mess when the ball is kicked to Misi's side (Misi helps) is very likely to miss tackles and has no apparent confidence.

That's a fair spray on one of my favourites.

Easy solution, back to bench replacing Seu Seu. Brown to the back, he did the job ok earlier in the year.

Well I think we WILL miss Kearney, despite the fact that he hasnt been playing his best of late anyway. Also, I do NOT want to see Simmo at the back. Time to give one of the younger blokes a shot.

You speak with much wisdom, Millers.

Hard to tell. Let's just pray that he wasn't watching when Kearney threw the "harbour bridge" pass from dummy half.
