EXPECT a rapid resolution to Blues coach Ricky Stuart's coaching career at the end of Origin. The most obvious home for him is Canberra - but Parramatta are getting mentions on the quiet every day - despite Stephen Kearney scoring a significant win over the Sharks on Monday. Some say Kearney has lost the board - it is interesting Roy Spagnolo has been overseas and nothing can happen without his say so. Don't forget the Eels board members will be keen to save their own skins so they need a winning side as soon as possible.

The only chance the board have of saving their skins is to stand by the decision they made in appointing Kearney and hope he delivers.

Once again, I will believe when I see it. Granted this is the SMH & not the Tell-Ya-Crap (which is not quite as bad - but is becoming too similar of late), it is all hearsay. Having said that, how often is the phrase "where there is smoke, there is fire" used? It will be interesting to see if this leads to anything.

Although I don't rate him as a coach, you have to feel for Kearney. He finally gets the side to win and the rumour mill articles keep coming.

Just quietly, getting Ricky Stuart on board as a coach would not be the worst move in the world. Not my first choice (by a long shot) but still an improvement on what we currently have.

No different to DA mate, great victory in Brisbane over the Broncos and ignite our way potentially to the top 8 in the enusing weeks, to find out when you step off the plane back home, your CEO has interviewed SK for your coaching gig. Talk about kick in the guts

It is quite a bit different considering Anderson had taken us to the GF the year before and was an outstanding coach who didn't deserve the treatment he got from our club. Kearney will deserve the knifing, when it comes, unless there is a massive turnaround in form.

I do agree with your point though.

Who'd want to be a coach, eh (particularly at our joint)? Can't say I have as much sympathy for Kearney though.

I am not sure "knifing" is the correct term in his case. Kearney actually deserves to go (on performances so far).

To be fair, based on Stuart's actions over the last 2 seasons, I think he'd be WORSE than SK.

Stuart can't recognise that Hayne is NSW's best player and best option and won't tailor the Origin team to have Hayne as the centerpiece.
If you want an idiot as coach, then sure, Ricky Ricky Ricky.

I'd prefer to stick with SK anyday - would rather lose with a nice guy (SK) than lose with an obnoxious fool (Ricky).

If they be pro-active get rid of him and replace him with someone that actually gets us winning that will save their skins too.
