Hopefully the only road ahead Kearney has his mind on, is this one:

Being Lebanese I'd normally take offense to this.

But the simple truth is what do Lebanese and Italians know about running a rugby league club.

What's even worse is that all I keep hearing is that these merkins have no idea, and that's coming from someone employed by the club.

Pretty hard to take anything you say seriously then as by your own admission Lebanese have NFI how the footy club should be run:lol:

I'm from a European background so I think I can say it. With Mediterranean Descendants one thing I can tell you. Traditionally they can be great workers, extremely loyal and passionate, maybe even a top 2IC, but never let them run the show. Their anger, temperement and stubbornness can interfere with the overall objective. I think I just described myself.

You forgot to add impatien
Which should suggest that they might flick sk
but for who?
The size of the job indicates it's 2 man operation not 1
And really there's no one apart from hasler I see as turning this club around in the short term

Who cares? Anyone would be better.

Someone the players can believe in. Someone who has achieved something (anything) in coaching, so the players can look up to them more than they do SK.

Steve Folkes, Jim Dymock, Jason Taylor, bring Justin Morgan up from the Raiders.... at this point I'd even tolerate Sticky signing on after SOO is finished!

I don't understand why we can't change his role as cones placer? If he leave on his own accordance, then we don't have to pay him out.

I doubt the payout is a big deal. The club has a lot of money, and appeasing the fans would be worth more to the board than half a million dollars.

Anyone know which board members no longer support Kearney? They will get my vote if I can work out who they are.

We can approach them at home games and ask them ME. Apparently that's the best. I might try it next home game. Unfortunately I don't know where they sit or even what they look like but I'll still try. It's all about trying.

Newcastle don't seem to be believing in bennett ATM
Penrith have Gould and cleary, can't get more experienced than that duo
You need someone strong enough to deal with the club.
I reckon only hasler currently is the man or was!

Ever venture into the leagues club?
You'll find pictures of them at reception
And like all club directors they'll be in the corporate boxes

When origin ends, speculation re: Stuart will intensify. It will go into a frenzy if we keep losing. The board will try and cushion the fall with announcements and propaganda about believing in SK etc but trust me if we come last SK IS GONE.

They can't wait until then imo. Changing coach only in the off-season will potentially mess up next season. Appointing Stuart once he is free of commitments will mean that he gets the chance to immediately impact recruitment/retention decisions (re-signing/replacing Fuifui and Poore), and set the club up for the start of 2013.

It only takes a good coach one full off-season to get their team ready to compete. I'm not a Stuart fan, but have to admit he's a decent enough head coach. It just takes some guts from the Board to decide that the Kearney experiment has failed, and is worth the early payout.

I reckon he will be gone too by the end of the year
If not already decided

Penrith and Newcastle next two weeks

I can see us winning these two tough games and kearneys contract being extended

I think the issue for the Board is that if they sack Kearney it sends a negative message to the playing group and to any future coaches. To the playing group it says that if you don't like the coach and don't perform we'll sack him. Notwithstanding that, it means the players don't know how to prepare and develop to fit a plan because the coach might change from season to season. To future coaches it says you won't have job security. This is the Kearney conundrum. He has to go, but getting rid off him might make it harder for us to attract and retain coaches and players.

If we give him 6 weeks into next season, it might be too late. Make a decision at the end of this season. I'd like to see Jason Taylor get the job, but given SK is the worst coach in the comp, pretty much anyone (bar David Furner) would be an improvement.

I'd go further than that. Make a decision now so our 2013 coach can start planning already. Otherwise we'll just have a coach walking into the club in the pre season once again.

Two seasons is a decent enough spell for a coach - it's not like we're sacking them after single seasons.

A decent coach will be willing to sign for two years with a two year option (in the club's favour) and back themselves to achieve results.

The players will respond to a coach that demands and earns their respect through talent and positive development. Players will be more likely to want to stay on and to sign up under those conditions.

Kearney does not fit the bill, and it was a mistake to sign a rookie coach for 3 years to start with - and comment in the press about their keenness to extend it at the first opportunity. Hopefully that mistake will be remedied soon, if more directors fall behind Sid Kelly's apparent position on the matter. I'm pretty sure more directors will fall behind that position between now and the FC elections in December.... they'd be crazy not to!

Take everything I say serious.

There are more italians than others ;-);-), and I never said I was in a position to run a club. But being a member I'm entitled to be critical when required. I'm also able to praise when the club deserves praise.

Now you tell me, do you think the board know what they're doing, or that they are going a good job.
