prefer to fill 1 position at 6 then to change hooker as well. We have finally got that area right so robson can stay there

Because its a forum.

Mateo just started to play decent at lock. why would you move him to 5/8, where more pressure will be on him. He isnt a playmaker.

The Jinx strikes again!! KK was the only player I got to speak to before the game, and players have been known to have bad luck when that happens.. Sorry guys :(

Do u think u could go to the Moanly training this week? Make certain you talk to every player? :D

If Grothe is back, I would put money on Reddy being named at 5/8 !!!!

And Robson should not be moved, why weaken one position to fix another postion

I think you throw Inu into 5-8 and Grothe back onto the wing. Inu basiclly defends at 5-8 and plays as a a ball runner and supports the forwards while Hayne is relied on to play 5-8 in attack. Inu can also do some kicking, he has a very good kicking game and it could work or a short period.

Also is there any word on KK, is it confirmed he is out?

The only prob with Inu @ 5/8 is that his confidence is not back to its best.
That would mean a make-or -break situation for the team against a side which is clearly in form , even if it can get run down. I agree , Inu could be a success , but equally he could take a few wrong options - would the coach be prepared to risk that?
I think Mateo would be the safest choice @ no. 6

I would be inclined togo Mateo at 6, Horo starting.
The only concern I have is if Mateo tries to overplay everything resulting in the dropped balls, poor passes etc.

the Mateo at 6 suggestion is certainly the easier option however we have a great opportunity to throw a kid in the deep end and give him a feel of first grade, he's our most creative player for wenty.

I guess what we`re saying is that almost anyone in the backline could play five-eight. Personally, I`d put Tahu there. But I doubt that Anderson will do that. I`d like to leave Robson at hooker because I think he`s doing a good job there. I would not like to revert to a 7. Robson, 6. Mortimer combination because Robson is better at hooker now, and I think Mortimer`s form is not good enough at present for that combination to work like it did last year. I have reservations about Mateo at five-eight. He`s not a play-maker, as someone else just said, and he`s far too erratic in my opinion. It will be interesting to see what Anderson does.
The good thing is that we are playing with more confidence now. Four weeks ago, something like this would have been real trouble for us.

If Ando wants Inu in the side still when grothe returns then mateo wont be 5/8. burt, reddy, hayne, have all played 5/8 and out of those i would prefer burt. Reddy is good under the high ball in the centres so lets not waste him at 5/8. but thats the only solution for inu to keep his spot. if inu cant then mateo will slot in at 5/8 with horo in the starting side

The way we play is that the 7 controls one side and the 6 controls the other.

Probably because we don't have a dominant 6 or 7 to control every play.

Thus, not anyone can be the 5/8th.

Therefore, I think there are only 3 contenders: Hayne, Mateo, Robson.

I just don't think Tahu, INU nor Reddy could play this role.

I would leave Robson at 9 as he is a better hooker than half and if Kris' injury is 2-3 weeks, there's no point in changing Robson to 7 for such a short time. I'd rather he improve his skills at 9.

So Hayne or Mateo. Hayne will allow INU to stay in the team if Grothe comes back.

Mateo, will allow Horo to start and probably Oake to the bench.

I personally would play Mateo at 6 to get him more involved and get his form up.
