Massive raps on this kid. First saw him at the trial game v Bulldogs. Scored two tries in that game and his kick returns had an impact. I think he comes off the bench now. Goes really well. Probably needs to lose 10 kilos, but I hope we sign him up. Son of a former Illawarra Steeler. Really well liked by all the under-20s boys.

Prop. Seen him with 10 on his back a few times, but lately has had numbers 14-17 (maybe because of fitness?).

When I say kick returns I mean returning the ball from an opposition kick-off...has busted the first tackle attempt a few times.

Like I said two tries in the Bulldogs trial. I think he scored a try against Sea-Eagles or Tigers too, wasn't really paying attention at those games sorry.

Very good kid. He is best mates with my youngest brother, same class at school. Always had the talent, just needs to shed a few kgs. Or he could be our very own George Rose?

Plenty of ability with the ball as well for a forward. Knows when to throw an offload. Lots of potential

Under 20's defences are crap so line breaks are common.Would rather NSW cup be televised and given a pathway to 1st grade rather than the touch footy played by the kids. While some good players can make the step up,many are coming through when they are not ready leading to some substandard quality in some games.

Agree 100%, NSW Cup should be the breeding ground. Having seen NSW Cup and NYC side-by-side, the intensity of a NSW Cup game is far higher. There is no debate about which competition replicates the intensity and skill level of the NRL, it is NSW Cup, hands down.

Having worked with three NRL NYC teams, in my personal opinion, I think these kids are far too over worked with the combination of their minimum employment and minimum training duties. A lot of kids are burning and going to burn out (but that's a topic for another thread).

Let's go someone like Sandow, that seems to be working well.

Seru is amazing to watch and is a menace to defences in the 20's. Key question is fitness, as mentioned.

How did you think Sandow would go at a shambles of a club like the eels?? not his fault, hes stillone of the top line half backs going around. Boyd is another example of a good player going to a shit club and his own form and confidence has deteriorated as well.

So you're saying marquee signings are not a magic potion and can often do more harm than good. Got it.
