Kennedy gets 4

Well it looks like Kennedy's got four weeks for his hit on Stephen Price in the origin the other night. So he'll miss the last origin game. The thing is, Tallis did almost the same thing to fellow brisbane team mate in origin 1 and got nothin...didnt get reported. Is 4 weeks too excessive?

I think it's too much.. I thnk if it didn't knock out Price there wouldn't have been such a big deal over it... But I do agree he should have got done for it.
Yes in Origin 2 there was some high shots that were not put on report which should have.... but hay that's the what happens so we need to move on and find a new second rower for SOO.
We should be right at the Knights we have some good young forwards.

They basically decided it was a deliberate high shot.
I think that is a very harsh interpretation.
The case wasn't put before the usual NRL tribunal. It was a special tribunal that had a rep from both Qld and NSW. I think it was so harsh because of sour grapes by the Qld rep on the tribunal. The tackle did cause them to lose one of their best forwards for much of the game, which had a big bearing on the final result.
I think that if he were tried before the usual ex-player, etc etc, they would have accepted his claim that the tackle was accidentally high and he would have got a much lighter suspension.

To be given four weeks for what Kennedy did is crazy. If Kennedy was still at the Raiders, i'd be fuming if he got one.

I didn't think there was much in it at the time and I still don't think theres much in it. One week max if that.

Well seeing as Tallis did the same thing in game one and got nothing for it... it's not on.

Tallis pleaded guilty to a charge, but escaped suspension because of the early plea. he was charged for the shot of devere. Tallis's shot wasn't nearly half as bad as Kennedy's.

I wonder if Knights fans will complain if nothing happens to Johns for his shot on Hodgson?

Did Tallis get Devere with a clench fisted stiff arm that sent him straight to disneyland did he?

I'll have to have another look.

Any comments from Knights fans of Johns getting off scott free for his forearm to hodgson after the ball was long gone?
