from test half
surprising after his return to form
very disappointing for him personally but obviously will assist cronulla s efforts next weekend vs parra
Hindmarsh has been selected as well. This is good news for us next weekend, as he has to back up less than 24 hours after being bashed around by the Kiwis...
Let's hope Noddy is pissed off and takes it out on Parra.
Of course his nonselection means there's less chance of him doing a Mat Rogers and getting injured in a game which essentially means nothing to the Sharks.
Parra don't stand a chance really. After watching the Cowboys run riot over the sharks, it was obvious that one of two things were gonna happen at that point.
1) Sharks continued in the form slump ala Wests Magpies in 99
2) They would come out and smash some mob around ala Saturday night against the Raiders.
I feel terribly sad for Noddy.
He has done nothing wrong to lose his test spot.
Gower with his huge pack of forwards today did jack Sh1t.
Any Panthers fan would tell you the "real" driving force behind the team are their forwards and their black flashes Preston & Wesser.
Kimmorley on the other hand has been the absolute standout for the Sharks in most matches this year.
Let's not forget he was named player of the series in the last ashes series.
This should mean the death knell of Noddy's origin chances.
Gould will have no pressure to pick him now that Gower has been named test hooker.
Vagana has been named in the centres but I can assure you he will play some 5/8, seeing Simone Fauminia has been named there. He should get a real good work rate playing there so I hope his energy levels aren't to zapped because we need him to carve Parra out wide and more importantly help scramble for us when Parra put the blow torch on out wide. tHey have more punch than Canberra have in this area.
Cayless & Hindmarsh will be rat sh!t after the test match. So it's important that our forwardsrip in like they did against Canberra and really knock the wind out of Parra.
I hope Jason Williams calf strain is not to serious. His bull like runs are truly inspirational for the team and takes the pressure off the rest of the forwards when Stevens is off the field.
but in reality he would have very little to do with the test team selection. don't for one minut think that mr w bennett has as much pull as gould and bennett wuld of wanted a half thayt was gonna make sure lokyer got clean ball.
noddy has had one excellent game a few good ones and at least one bad one
gower has had 6 excellent games
club loyaltys aside the right choice has been made imo
I certainly wouldn't say his performance against Saints today was excellent. In fact, I'd say he had a Barry Berrigan of a game and is damned lucky it didn't count against him.
