Hope not, otherwise we know it's just for the money. Although hopefully he is the start of our climb into regular semi finalists and build from there.

Has anyone that left the Dragons in recent years that said they want to win a comp actually won one?
I don't think so. In fact, I really hope that Parra and the Broncos (if that's where Hunt finishes up) fight it out for the spoon next year.

the last ones I can think of were Brett Morris (roosters),Craig Fitzgibbon (roosters),Michael O'Connor (Manly), Brent Kite (Manly) and Luke Pattern(Bullgrubs) probably more

Brett Morris left Saints to join Dogs and made 1 or 2 finals appearances only. He left Dogs and won a comp so I would not include Brett. Brett's time at the Dogs was a disaster as he was mostly injured.

Yes, but we were a decent team when those players left, not a basket case like the last few years. I was more thinking along the lines of Frizell who left to win a comp and our former recently departing captain.

B-Moz aside, the last ex-Dragons to win a premiership were the group of Matt Prior, Gerard Beale, Jack Bird and Mick Ennis for the Sharks in 2016. Could also throw in Steve Price who was Flanno's assistant that year.

Speaking of Price, does he remind anyone else of Nate Shelley from Ted Lasso?
