good luck v the broncs, you might need it the way the brisbane teams playing..
Every NQ supporter ive had anything to do with said they were embarrased by that game on the weekend.
surely you aint the odd man out ??
the whole idea of reffing is fickle and needs an overhaul. Probably half the games ever played have been botched, or heavily influenced, by reffing alone. There were a number of suspect calls last weeekend right across the board. Reffing is a stupid way to control games, but we all go along with it. There are better ways that need to be investigated. Theres always biases that refs have, pressure applied to them not forgetting bribes.
The Maori game called ki-o-rahi has self-reffing by players & managers - its called 'tewhatewha' and soon sorts out reffing disputes. Ki-o-Rahi has a culture of hard but non-violent play because of that type of game cotrol. Players can concentrate on skill plays and team work knowing that they, the players are their own bosses out there on the paddock. There has never been a fight in ANY ki-o-rahi game ever! and all the players walk off the paddock knowing the result is a true one!
I reckon the amount of off the ball play and outright violence has a correlation with the quality (or lack of) reffing, for example our round 10 match against the Eels.
I'll take the win but I know the odds are we'll lose through bad reffing in the future. Look at the hiding we got against the Rabbitohs in rd 6.
You open a can of worms when you mention reffing, it is a fallible/bad system!
