Just heard team read out on Radio Sport

Hohaia
Perret
Mannering
Ropati
Vatuvei
Marshall
Fien
Cayless
Leuluai
Blair
Manu
Fa'alogo
Smith

Luke
Eastwood
Rapira
Harrison

Seems that Kearney and Bennett are the only people in the world that think Luke shouldn't be starting ...

Harrison is the big surprise although he did have a good game last week against England. No Inu once again .

I would rather see Inu in the centres and Mannering back in the 2nd row. Plus Luke should be in the starting line-up.

Inu and Luke must have done something to really sh*t kearney and bennett, and there is noway perrett is better than either Inu or nightingale, surely he must have some dirt on the coach

what the hell is leuluai doing at hooker, he shouldn't even be in the starting team....

I can see the logic in Luke not starting personally. You want settles in the first stanza, then some attack during the tired phase and that's where he excels really. We all know he has the quality to start in any team but they're just amplifying his forte by playing him there. Glad they moved a small guy into hooker rather than using a glorified lock. I think Inu should be in for Mannering and he should be replacing Fa'alogo. Fa'alogo to the bench and Harrison goneburgers.

Blair has had some defensive lapses so I wanna see a better showing from him this game. Eastwood has been exceptional so it'd be good to see him get more time.

Inu is a better centre then Mannering, he is best suited in the back row, i dont know what Inu did but he seems very out of favour

Well on talent inu should be in there before perret.

But Perret has peformed well and done everything asked of him, he seems to have the right attitude. I am not totally disgusted re: that decision. Kearney appears to be rewarding him being loyal.

As for Inu – he hasn’t played well at all this year and hasn’t really got into any form at all. I thought he should have played last week to see how he went.

As for Mannering at centre – I don’t mind. Firstly because he doesn’t run the ball enough at back row or very strongly but still deserves his spot. At centre he can pick and choose his moments. But still have a heavy workload on defense.

Kearney and Bennett had to make some hard calls, bar having leulauai in the 17 I can live with them.

Apparently Harrison got players’ player – his offloads lead to two crucial tries. Also Manu was in good form back end of the season. With them there is much more strike power – Sa should have offered that but didn’t. Which explains why Mannering got moved as opposed to inu or sa coming in.

Also we arent privy to what goes on at training. I don’t think certain players are out of favour as such, despite major injuries there still is a lot of competition.

With both sides not showing their cards early. Wouldn’t be surprised if Luke does start and Leuluai starts on the bench. With thomas coming on to play halfback.

Because as a halfback he is average, as a Hooker he isnt even NSW Cup standard would easily be behind Rangi Chase, Billy Ngawini etc and they are fringe NRL.
He is a nice guy – but after last week they should of dropped him.

Im excited bar Cayless the pack of forwards are very exciting and dynamic – Hopefully they have a hooker equally as dynamic in Luke leading them around.

If Fein has better execution in this game you blokes will win.

Luke has some mistakes in him, LooLoo at least is not halfback, that said Luke would start in my side.

It is an improved side IMO.

Leuluai has been rubbish for the most part at half but at hooker there is less pressure on him provided he makes his tackles. But I really think a swap with Issac is/mustbe on the cards.

And Hohaia is playing too well to be moved from fullback to be Luke's hooker back up on the bench.

Apart from that, strong team. I like Harrison the bench..something different.

Leuluai will do just fine at hooker. The type of game he gives you at half will be much better suited to hooker at this level. As long as he follows the play around he'll do well.

I dont know why you'd prefer Rangi Chase or his ilk, he'd be likely to get tackled on the 5th trying to run the ball or kick the ball into touch on the full.

And yes Isaac Luke is a much better player but the impact he could ahve coming on after 20 minuted and in the last 20 could be massive.

I can sort of understand Luke on the bench as an impact player, sort of.

But if you don't want Thomas at #7 then don't put him at #9 as some kind of consolation prize. I would have gone with Dene Halatau instead.

Inu not in the side is a surprise.

I might just change my tip to England.

I think Leuluai at hooker is a good idea. Having Luke come off the bench isn't that bad an idea, he'll be fresher in the last 20 minutes. But this time NZ can't afford to give away a big start.

Kearney's NZ coaching career to date could hang on this game.

I would not have run with TL but he knows 1000 times more about RL than I do.

What does Luke have to do?

I hope this is the last we see of Leuluai and Fien wasting space in the Kiwi side.

I cant see his career hanging on this match. In his first year he has won 3 of his 5 Test Matches...thats two more than the last Kiwis coach in the same amount of matches.

I did not word that correctly. I don't think his Kiwi coaching career is hanging on this match but you'd have to question his performance thus far i.e. - 2 games getting beaten by Aussie, and a win vs PNG and another vs a weak English team.

Do not compare to last year as it wa sa disaster.

He could develop into a great Kiwi coach one day.
