My Team - including ESL players

1 - Webb
2 - Hape
3 - Soliola
4 - Ropati
5 - Vatuvei
6 - Marshall (Rangi Chase)
7 - Leuluai (Paea)
8 - Cayless N (Rapira if Cayless has retired)
9 - Fein
10 - Asotasi (c)
11 - SBW
12 - Kidwell
13 - Mannering/Smith

14 - Hohaia
15 - Lima/Blair
16 - Rapira/Tuimavave
17 - Lauaki/Pritchard - if he keeps up his form/Fa'alogo

We need experience in the forward pack - look what happened at Wgtn without it - thrashed

Thats not a bad looking side at all

Im not expecting a win but that side plus a couple of others for the world cup (Inu, Chase Stanley maybe etc)

NOTE - i also like the idea of SBW at 6 if Benji can't go.......Revelation's halves i like actually, Certainly not sold on Roberts and Chase is very creative for his outsides...

these teams are terrible

hohia
vatuvei
ropati
inu?? (if not Mannering)
perret
marshall?? (if not, rangi Chase)
Roberts
asotasi
Fien
cayless
kidwell
pritchard
sonny bill

Mannering (if he's in centers Blair)
Fui Fui
Rapira
Chae Stanley (ropati to hooker late in the match)

kenny dowell has alot of mistakes in him , like vatuvei, but does not have the offence to make up for it.

i think roberts best position is centre where he doesnt have to organise or kick short. but we are low on halves so...

i prey marshall i sweet and has one good game before the test.

i hope Brent Webb is available but i doubt it.

Jeez, no Luke Covell? He's the incumbent :sarcasm:

I honestly think Ah Van is arguably a better option than SKD, much more composed, better hands, safer. With Manu on one side it almost makes sense to have an Ah Van/Covell type on the other side.

I know you are having a laugh, MV. But I was sorely tempted to put Covell in there.

There were only 2 good memories I took away from that f**king Wellington Test. One was personally witnessing Gasnier getting knocked the f**k out. The other was seeing Covell steam the ball up like he was a 140kg, 2.3m tall prop.

I think Covell gets a pretty tough time because of his idiot fans. He's a very solid player.

I'm kinda semi-serious. It's obviously no joke because the guy really did get picked. He's also a decent NRL player and he kicks goals! I'm also semi-serious about PAV, I really do think he's certainly in the same bracket as an SKD or a Chase Stanley.

Are people not naming Tuiaki because they think he's out of form/other players are playing better or the Tonga situation and the switch?

Tuiaki's place depends on the availability of Hape

Tuiaki would be very useful on the wing but he isn't playing as well as Manu and Hape is our best outside back

Inu's def out, Webb is doubtful again, due to UK Clubs...again. If Webb can't get here defo Lance for #1, he's done enough for the Warriors to have earnt that Jersey.
The #7 is a real contention... spoilt we've been over the years with Friend followed by Freeman followed by Jones.
Chase/Roberts for me at 6&7, can't see Benji ready...if he is the TAB probably has odds on the poor bastard being injured again

Another one crosses the ditch, Nightengale you legend.

i reckon consider locking up some players who we dont know who they want to represent a "whoever picks me first" attitude which i blame on the residency rule, Lagi setu from dragons (was born in NZ but played for jrn kiwis, but i think shortland played for them as well but now wants to play for kiwis), michael jennings? he may want to pull on the black jersey, although i doubt it, Cooper Vuna may if not picked by NZ "walk into tonga" , Lui Toimoana from Knights, Sa'a although i think he is injured, Aaron cannings?
Not saying pick all these guys, but i wouldn't mind seeing some of these guys giving a test jersey with a vision for the future, so when they improve and if they become benchmark players there will be no tug of war on who they will play for (eg the moimoi and hunt debate) cause last thing we want is a kiwi playing for aus,

Although there is great talent in UK, i dont think we should rely on them to "win us the test" while maybe a few spots we need, i hope most of the players are from the NRL, cause a team better prepared is better than a team of great players metting eachother the day before (take a look at the B&I lions rugby tour, they lost to aus and NZ when looking at paper they easily should have won)

Matthew Elliott's refusal to pick Masada Iosefa in First Grade has robbed you guys of a possible utility off the bench.

He was in NZ senior touring squad to England last year, so is obviously in the selectors minds. However, not playing First Grade is going to cost him. Even though he is the best hooker at Penrith.

Is Luke out? If so:

Hohaia
Nightingale
Ropati
Perrett
Vatuvei
Roberts
Chase
Cayless
Faiumu
Asotasi
Pritchard
Mannering
SBW

Hohaia
Sa, Eastwood or Stanley (anyone but Kidwell)
Lima
Rapira

18th Man: Tuimavave

Soliola, Kenny-Dowall, Tuiaki (unimpressive this year), Fa'alogo, Moimoi, the GOOD Jeremy Smith & Blair would all be in the mix somewhere too.
