Humble will not let anyone down, he is a fine player. Has not defended at this level and may miss a couple, his attack and kicking will be fine.

As for speed, he would match Bert, he is very quick. But Bert was more elusive than quick really. This kid ain't Kenny there is only one of him.

If Humble does play and has a ordinary game, watch the knives come out saying he isn't first grade standard. :blahb:

What I don't get is why so many are giving it to Mortz. I know he is probably suffering the second year syndrome, but 2 months ago everyone was screaming for him to re-sign and now he is just one step up from Poore in a lot of eels fans' estimations.
Come on day , lead the team around the paddock , pass and back up like we know you can , give Manly something to think about!
Parra by 10 , 24-14 (is it gonna be a wet track?)

I think mortz have been terrible this year.

He has had a couple of good second half performances but alot of the time attrocious. Kicking out on the full, hospital passes, tackled with the ball because the outside defence swarms on him and he has made alot of mistakes.

I did not want to re-sign him. I wished that we went after Mateo first.

Good luck to him - I love running 5/8ths and Brett Kenny was and is my all-time favourite Parra player. We need to start blooding our halves and testing them out - Mateo is leaving next season, so putting him at 6 short term may be a wasted opportunity (thought noting we have to win as many games as possible).

Then why should he pressure Keating?

I was just agreeing with PG that if he's going to pressure anyone, it should be Mortimer rather than Keating, because Keatings form has been much better.
In saying that, I fully agree that he won't be pressuring anyone after one game.

I happened to speak to Daniel Anderson on Saturday morning and asked about KK. He said they were doing everything possible to get him out there but it wasn't looking too good. But he did say they will give him until this afternoon to see how it goes. If we played yesterday he would have been no chance.

I think it's safe to say Humble will be playing tonight, the question is where? will he be a straight swap for KK or could we see him start off the bench as a replacment hooker/ five eight?

If Humble gets a start, i wish him the best of luck and Congratulations! I hope he makes himself and the Parra jersey proud! Have fun and kick some Manly bum!

Could he get a tougher debut game?

I really hope it's a straight up swap.

If Robson goes to half, and M Keating to hooker, then we're shooting ourselves in the foot for attacking options.

Basically we're asking Hayne to engineer all our points (I know it worked a lot late last season, but why do it if we don't have to?)

Surely you start Humble at 5/8 and go from there.

I am unsure why these stories keep refering to Humble playing fullback for Northern Pride, in the 6 or 7 games I saw, some live some on TV, he played number 6 in all of them for Pride.

As for him starting, I would , but if they played Mateo @ 6 for the first 15, with a bench forward starting, that would be OK too. Then after 15 bench forward (Oake?) comes off Humble goes on and Mateo back to lock.

Oake?!?!

Surely he's not in the team?

If Mateo started at 5/8 it would mean Horo at lock and then the bench would be:

M Keating, Humble, Mannah, Poore

I doubt that happens - Andersen likes to save 10 interchanges for the second 40 if he can.

Oakey didn't get on the field and I can only assume that he's 18th man, he won't play unless there's a drama in the warm up.

Oh Lord...That's hard. Just like how hard it must be for Tommy....It's a question even Peter Brock would have found difficult to answer..or even Mac Davis....

pete,if that was directed at me you must have missunderstood what i said earlier? i was praising him.

I just spoke to Paul Osbourne and he didn't confirm it and I asked him straight out.

.

DA did that to close out the match. Have experience on the park and it worked IMHO

More or less that's what happened and we were look real good. I like it when hayne demands the ball.

But after watching this game, I think I would prefer KK over Hodkinson.

Mortz wasn't that good again.
