If he gets to play in the NRL again, then I am done with it. I still can't believe Rob Lui is playing, and to a degree, Greg Bird.

Having absolutely no idea on how contracts work in the NRL there could be an employment contract which is seperate to the NRL playing contract

he'd have a contract between himself and the knights. that contracted was agreed to by both parties but not registered by the nrl

Is Knight Vision a BunniesMan alias?
That pic on his wall. It wasnt Tugger Coleman or Willie Peters was it!
I don't understand this either, his contract was never registered so he was never a knights player to start with.
He has technically been a free agent since he left the warriors I suppose.
As mentioned above, to register a contract you first have to have a contract. I do hope the Knights look after his young family.

If he does his time and plays in the NRL, you shouldnt have a problem with it.

Not being registered by the NRL makes the contract void anyway right?
I guess tearing it up is more symbolic than anything, that and the Knights want to be seen to be doing the right thing.

you would think so because if the NRL refuse to register him then he can't actually fulfill his contract

My understanding is that there is definitely two parts to every player contract. This is why you hear from time to time, that certain young up and comers have only been offered a "training contract" or a "summer contract". There is the part that covers the players employment at the club and deals with things like training and the players responsibilities to the club itself. These contracts actually start in November when the players come back for pre-season. Some guys only ever get offered this part of the contract. Then there is a seperate part which deals with the actual competition side of things and the players responsibility to the NRL.

This is the bit that needs to be registered.

A player does not have to be registered with the NRL to train with a first grade NRL team but they do need to have a contract and get paid something for their troubles.

What other options do they have? It's fairly straight forward. He's going to jail.
