He was a tall goodlooking winger who only played Flegg and went on to be a male model and actor.

Kornstar said:Attention Knights fans!!!! After seeing our P/L team decline so much in the last 2 months, you can have Rip back if that is still your wish......
hindmarsh4pm said:i hear some of the coaching staff for PL don't really like rip taylor and his style on coaching
Nikki said:I deadset messaged this to my mate Stranger on Monday night.
I think he has a very old school style of coaching, which may have worked on the younger Flegg kids up in Newcastle (they need to get their discipline somewhere  ) but our Prems teams have been so used to having "mates" coach em they are just not responding to him. Well thats my theory anyway (which I may have posted in another thread, but i just dont remember.)
Kornstar said:To be honest, when i bought this thread back, i was expecting to get murdered and told how childish i was or something......glad someone agrees.
Don't get me wrong it might not be the coach, but there is definitely something wrong with the boys and it is depressing to watch, i am kind of glad i have other plans on Saturday, cause a drive to North Sydney to watch the same crap would be depressing (no offence to anyone going, cause trust me i would be there if i could get out of the day my wife planned)
Nikki said:You know what, maybe its our fault. We have depended on Prems being our saviours for the last couple of years. We dont accept mediocricy (spl) from them like we do with First Grade . I'll still be there on Sat.
roopy said:On the positive side for Rip - all his Flegg kids from last year are thriving.
Hlad has played PL for Penrith.
Wright has played PL for Parra.
Seu Seu, Paterson, Walsh, Gordon, McManus, Snowden have all played firstgrade.
Natusch, Laban, Tuafua, Uate, Ling, Wooden, Dureau have all played PL for the Knights.
Thats 15 players who have moved to the seniors - and a few like Cooper, Richardson, Jeans are still in flegg.
The Knights average maybe 5 players from Flegg going on to the seniors, so Rip's team from last season is probably our best ever.
Nikki said:See thats the other way I look at it. Prems team on a whole have to be the most unstable teams in the comp. Players are called up on First Grade duty, good Flegg players are stepped up. Some weeks are not consistant, but at the same time, not really an excuse. I just think we've had it too good for so long its weird taking a back seat. Lol. Where are we on the Prems ladder anyways?
eelavation said:well Rip does have an assistant who's pretty friendly with a few of us in here so I might ask him about it on Saturday ;-)
