I think we should team him with Jimmy and Sau should play wing in attack and Jimmy should play wing in defence.
A winger who goes for the line like a mad thing is what you want, but he is short and built like a brick outhouse, just like one J (knight) Ryder who also couldn't jump.
I'd love to see Jimmy drawing a bit of defence and giving the ball to Sau with half a gap in front of him on a regular basis.

thats not a bad idea actually roopy, considering how damaging sau is but also that he doesnt know how to fricken pass, i think its worth a go

Junior Sau isn't a winger.

He has given our attack a much needed weapon in the centres, so why change it now? Just because the bloke has bombed a try doesn't mean the effectiveness of his play in the centres has been any less.

We sure have some more fire power in the centres with Sau there instead of Naiqama!

His passing is simply something to work on in the offseason, because he will be way more effective at centre than wing.

I think a few people here are forgetting a few tries Sau HAS set up for his outside winger with good passes.

I'm as critical as ANYONE for him bombing that try the other day, but its no reason to change his position from one mistake when he has been superb for us in the centres since coming in.

Agree with that Karma, although I do hope we actually some improvement in his passing next season. Even if he just gets himself up to a decent standard of drawing and passing when it is obviously the best play, he will be a gun with that power.

I know deep down I'm asking for too much, but I've just always had a soft spot for a centre with ball playing class like Midley. It has always been my favourite position to watch do their thing. So all the centres at our club currently really don't float my boat.

1. Gidley
2. Uate
3. Rogers
4. Sau
5. McManus

back up - Naiqama, Vuna, Lulia

would be interesting. Rogers might be a flop, but you can guarantee that he would throw a couple of absolute secials to Uate at some point. Probably little grubbers in behind the line for Uate too, or one arm offloads etc. Only thing is he probably doesn't have the pace.....

Sau has been great in the centres (particularly in attack, obviously) apart from bombing that try against the raiders. granted, it was a whopper... but i'd have to agree with karma and say that he goes great in the centres. i'll be concerned if we can't develop a passing game for him... however his strengths far outweigh his weaknesses at this stage. he's certainly miles ahead of lulia.

I saw a Jamaican 200m sprinter on the Olympics last night with bigger thighs than Sau.

And it was a woman.
