Australia fielded as close to a second string side as you will get at the 2014 four nations and we got our arses handed to us twice by NZ. Still good crowds and ratings. It was an exciting tournament to watch. Granted, they were still called the Kangaroos and actual test caps were issued.

How many would turn out to see a team like that but not called Australia or the Kangaroos? TV ratings aren’t really relevant to the argument.

England Knights defeated Jamaica 38-6 in front of a crowd of over 7000 at Leeds Headingley.

This is a good crowd for a 2nd tier international.
Better than previous games of this nature, better than half the crowds in Super League.

Undoubtedly of huge value to Jamaica for their 2021 preparations and a good hitout for the English 2nd string.

I stand by my earlier comments that if finances allowed (enter RLI assistance), this should have been a 4 Nations tournament between England Knights and the already qualified Jamaica, Wales and France teams.
Gives the home fans something to cheer while GBLions are touring.

Australia, New Zealand and England should all be running A-teams that play at home while their Test squad is on tour. It should be an obligation of tier 1 nations and would be invaluable to nations like Wales, France, Jamaica, Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, PNG.

The crowd is amazing. Shows that these matches should be played in proper venues and not Leigh.
