Ill give the team credit for trying hard against a near 100% Eels team.

Its hard when we are missing 11 probable starting first graders, but even when they were there we struggled.

We need money now. I remember seeing on ABC a guy from the knights (possibly Tyler ?) saying if we need money we can get it... Well we need it, but I guess the situation isnt good enough for him...

Things are just going from bad to worse. It was funny, during the game they were saying that we will need to build a new section for the injured players. It's seriously going beyond a joke. Something has to change. I hate seing BK going from playing 1 game out of 5 to hardly missing one (has he missed one all year??) and playing rep footy again. It makes me sick. Our training methods are ridiculous and so is our rehabilitation. I'm fed up, honestly. We are the laughing stock of the NRL.

I'm a realist, and I fear we are going to get the wooden spoon. Souths absolutely hammered Manly 44-6 tonight.

We have already got the spoon, Souths are 4 games in front and improving, we are getting worse...........do the math!

yeah i think Penrith is our game...even a close to full strength side with reps coming off a hopefully good win for NSW adding some added enthusiasm on those rep players could put us in good stead against manly. Wishful thinking but im trying...TRYING to be positive here

The drunken guy that ran onto the field was apparently a knights fan holding a cup of beer...... i'd crack up if it was a crusader.

Sorry to crash the thread guys but maybe a Souths style march through the streets of Newcastle needs to be organised. The club is being run into the ground by an inept administration.
No major sponsor which =
Not enough funds which =
Not enough support staff which =
A yearly horrific injury toll and
Poor recruitment

And the buck should be stopping with management

Well i wasn't expecting much more, I knew would we get hammered with the calibre of players we had out. The team lacked direction, especially missing Buderus and Johns. We didn't have a leader around the ruck. Although Craig Smith stepped up and played an absolute blinder, we lacked direction through the halves mainly through lack of experience. The wingers didn't get enough ball to use and that was mainly due to Parra's defence. It rushed up and caused the young halves to hesitate and simply make the wrong decision. Time will surely improve their game and losses like these are learning curves and should be better players next year. Playing Manly is a concern, but if Souths managed to flog them, we should just manage to beat them. However, they could lift and smash us. Just like it happened last year. Well, the season is gone but the boys will be playing for pride and I see improvement in our team even if we don't win.

Next week wont be any easier at Brookie...

I feel the Panthers game will be our game...

Gees I hope not.

But it wouldn't surprise me

It will also have to be our game we might have lost six in a row by then.

I've actually learnt to accept our losing and take it in my stride. I didnt expect us to win tonight, especially after Joey and Gids were ruled out. I agree that Penrith will be our time to shine, but maybe against Manly next week we might put in a good showing.

Just on another matter, my brother was at the game and he said there appeared to be more Eels fans than Knights fans, or at the least they were very much louder. Anyone who was there could maybe fill us in?
