Possession tends to even up, and if you guys can get down there, the Roosters love giving away penalties, so it's up to your team to somehow open them up on one of those possessions. You guys have the players, and if it wasn't for that forward pass not being called, you would only be behind by 2. Maybe some luck due to come your way in the second half.

sad for Bedsy, we didnt have the rub of the green tonight. Dubious penalties at the start of the game, forward passes by the Roosters that were not pulled up and now the boys have lost heart. They did us proud this season and are now loosing to a side that in my opinion is over the cap. They have the Storms recruitment officer and I believe some working of the books have been done. May sound like sour grapes saying it now but I thought as much at the start of the season. I hope Manly cane them next week.

Never felt so sick in my life. They're getting away with f**king murder, blatant professional fouls in the first half, a pass that would put Manning to shame, slowing the play the ball down.I mean, is Hayne the best f**king referee we have? Is he? because if he is I'm f**king done with this game and the incompetence that has f**ked team after team over.

Sure, we've been poor tonight, but it's hard when all your efforts are sapped due to not getting any green. Rarely have we enjoyed time down that field because simply they refuse to blow the whistle.

Good effort Newcastle. Very proud of them getting this far regardless of tonight's shit outcome.

Deserved win by them.

They have what we don't. Have said it from the start of the year and will say it again - we really lack support play in our forwards. Too much one up hit-ups and not enough forwards running off each other and getting momentum.

Bedsy can make a difference getting them going forward but we need more of a team of forwards and not individuals.

Not a good way for Bedsy to end his playing career.

Oh we had it. We just chose to kick a penalty goal to make it 2-2 rather than make a statement by trying to score the first try of the finals against the Roosters and take the lead after absorbing the pressure.

We lost the game right there. Negative. Conservative. Poor match awareness. A terrible message to send the opposition. And I'm sorry, but Bennett is the culprit as he has been all season.

I can't believe he hasn't learned the lesson yet. If the opposition wants you to do something, do the opposite.
