No Cordner at this stage. I hope Kennedy plays he has a few stupid mistakes in him most games.

Ah yes, the ill-fated 2000 Prelim Final. Heartbreaking stuff. Been waiting 12 years to get revenge for that. Hopefully it happens on Saturday! Can't wait!

Hopefully there's a strong Knights following at the game.

Don't worry. Knights fans will definitely be out in full force for this match. Remember, this is our first Preliminary Final since we won the comp in 2001. Looking at the seating allocations on Ticketek, there should be about 15-20k of us there like there was in 2000 vs Roosters and 2001 vs Sharks - both at Allianz.

Bought some tickets and am ringing in sick for work on Saturday night, no way I'm missing this.

Also, interesting stat I wasn't aware of: last week's win was the first time we've won 4 in a row since Rd 11 2006! That's quite some time. So, we've managed to win 4 in a row for the first time in the post-Joey era.

Hopefully we can win on Saturday to make it the first time since Rd 24 2005 that we've won 5 in a row.

:lol:That's the spirit!

In fact, you just gave me an idea for Day 4 of the SCG Ashes test next year (which falls on a Monday).

Off topic here but did anyone else notice the Bennett articles in the Sydney papers this morning - one in the Tele and one in the SMH. I don't mean the feel good, positive Newy related stories but the bizarre Bennett almost went to Souths and then the Bennett set to leave for Brissy or NQLD. These f**ks just love attempting to stir the pot don't they. Hmm, wonder if either of those articles would have made it in today if we were knocked out last week.

There will be a crowd from Newcastle for sure.

I just checked on Ticketek and now if you want Cat 1 tickets, then you are being placed in the general CAT 1 area on the other side of the ground to the assigned Knights Cat 1.

The Cat 2's are now overflowing to corporate reserves, from the assigned areas and Cat's 3's are filling up.

As a comparison, the Roosters are still in their assigned area's although granted they have more allocations.

Its interesting because I thought the Roosters would have already snapped up the tickets, but that doesn't seem the case.

Noticed the same thing, typical Sydney media carrying the water for the Roosters, never any different.

That said it doesn't mean anything as the players and coach would not be reading the papers.

I read the Souths one and almost pissed my pants laughing that apparently Bennett was 'ousted' for the Souths job by Maguire .

I love the way they word things to make it seem more dramatic as well, like how Wayne had 'secret' talks with Souths when he was deciding between them and us. Well obvious those kind of talks aren't exactly going to be public are they.....

Just a load of garbage.

.... and some of the journos have a dig a Bennett for not giving them much. They continually prove why he refuses to. You can't win either way so may as well play your own style of game and stick to it. A very, very smart man.

Yep it would seem all the pre-assigned cat 1 and 2 for Knights supporters have been snapped up. That Cat 1 (Bay 11) on the other side of the ground was being offered up yesterday after lunch and was the only Cat 1 left. It's not full yet. I'm thinking we are going to have near 15K supporters there depending on how many of the Cat 3 seats (behind the goals) are taken up by Newy supporters or Rooters haters.

Watching the Round 20 highlights and whatnot, I'm getting more confident. I don't think they've improved since drastically, especially in attack but their defence has. Their tries came off the back of poor judgement in defence and attack on our part and I just don't think we'll be making those mistakes again.

I won't say we'll win for sure, but Bennett is Bennett and he'll have the team ready.

Martin Kennedy should possibly keep his mouth shut now.

Got to love the nicknames of some of the blokes involved in the ASADA/ElephantJuice in Sport thing - "The Weapon" (Trent Robinson's brother, and Danny Weedler's favourite, "The Gazelle".
