As a backup half Kelly works just fine. He has never been without an NRL contract since graduating under 20s. That's more than can be said of most of those plodders you've named.

Really, who? You name them Poo. Apart from Seijka who is playing second division in England and parker-Walsh who is a very talented Qld Cup player. Name the players who are without a top grade contract.
Your love of kelly is truly strange. You want to stick with a proven NRL failure and your not interested in trying someone new. Are you on our recruitment/retention board Poo?

Well mate, you already named them in your previous post:

There are a lot of halves on the market net year, Miller, Cornish, Lui, Seijka, plus players like McCrone stuck in NSW Cup and Williams who may not make NRL next year.

I don't think you can expect more from a backup than what Kelly offers. I would say 'but that's just me', however it's not just me - plenty of people think Kelly is a solid backup, including people at our club who know a lot more about footy than either of us.

Kelly was even given a backup contract at the Storm back when they were the best team in the comp. They let him go to chase a first grade opportunity at Parra.

He didn't turn out to be a first grader but he is still good enough to be a backup, just like he was five years ago at the Storm. In fact he is a better player now due to increased maturity, experience and physical strength.

Cornish, Williams, McCrone and Liu all have NRL contracts and Miller has a Super League contract so your statement that most of the players named don't have top flight contracts is wrong. Only two player, Seijka and Parker-Walsh don't.
No Poo again you are wrong, there are a couple of others on here that are happy with Kelly however most people are of the same opinion as me and would love to see Kelly leave and for us to sign a new 'back up' half.
I don't know if the club and coach are that taken with him either, I think its a cap issue. We are strongly linked to Cornish and have been to Miller too. I also wonder if Henry would be playing NRL for us if it was not for Cap restrictions.
As for people at the club knowing more about it, do you know what, I used to think that too but now I wonder. Just because people are employed by the club does not mean they are have more knowledge about the game, players, talent, etc. You would hope they have plenty, but for years Parramatta have proved this is not really the case.

So Kelly was a worse footballer 5 years ago??? Is that even possible??? Only someone like Kearney or Poo would be such poor judges of talent to think he would ever be NRL quality.

Well mate you're the one who said they're off contract. I just quoted you.

But if you were wrong that's fine. I don't even pay attention to which opposition players are off contract so forgive me if I trusted you the first time. It won't happen again.

Oh my goodness you are dumber than I thought, and I thought you were very dumb.
I'm not going to bother trying to explain how you clearly can't follow a conversation. My goodness you are stupid.
