RUGBY LEAGUE: Former Sarina junior Scott Schulte is hoping to crack into the senior side at his new club, the Parramatta Eels.

Schulte was part of the North Queensland Cowboys under-20's team last year.

"It was just a great opportunity when I was offered a contract down here to play with the Eels," he told the club's website.

"A huge opportunity and I have always wanted to play in the NRL and I might have the chance here."

Schulte scored an impressive 17 tries in 21 games last season.

Thats good to here, we finally have some blokes at Wenty capable of pushing the top 17. Something they hasn't happened for a good while. Competition for spots is something that hasn't really happened in a long time.

Good stuff. I think the only place we are a bit weak is that one wing spot. I'd probably go for Faramino to partner Radradra on the wings but if the young Cowboy is up to it I'd love to see what he can do.

Four years in a row our NRL side has been full of backups. We've had too many first graders who wouldn't play injured.

So are you saying we have been soft??? Can't really argue with you actually. One thing Watmough has shown his team mates is how to play through pain and niggles.

I like the extra height this kid brings that Faramino doesn't have, however he has a way to go to match Faramino's class.

Lets face it, not too many smart kickers will kick to Semi's wing so who ever is on the other wing can expect a bit of traffic.

I have a good mate involved with the Cowboys who told me Schulte is a very good player who had a lot of great talent in front of him at the NQ Club...
