On the other hand, looking at the table with four rounds to go our position doesn't really seem under threat... if they have an 8 team finals plan?

I watched Brown against Penrith. Rather than dominate at that level, I don't think he provided any more than Rodwell, Greig or even Ogden. He even got sent to the bin after Greig was sent off, just to demonstrate his lack of brains.

I doubt we will see him in first grade again for us.

Hopgood completely out played him. Let in one try with a really bab one on one miss.

Interesting hes in yellow the same as the NRL players this week.
Yep I thought that too and then read BA's comment that he was going to play him in First Grade except he injured his thumb.

I think there is/was (wrongly) a push by the coaching staff to see if Nrown could land a contract early somewhere else by holding him back in Reggies, but now the deadline is over, he is definitely closer to being back in the 17.

I reckon the club has realised that we will need his experience at the back end of the season and into the semis, especially over Makatoa, as long as Nrown is back in reasonable form.

This is what I thought was happening. If he couldn't get a contract he would end up back in the 17. He probably knew it too, so wasn't in any special hurry to take a pay cut to play elsewhere.

So Simonssen didn't get named in reggies, after being demoted? At least Russell should still be able to play on Sunday, regardless of being 18th man tonight.

Hands looked good in limited shorts. Big Sam got a couple. Cini looked energetic.
Gee I reckon Rein should he a benchie in the 1s. A bit of X Factor and a good defender.
Agree, the coach does have a few mysteries with his bench. He ranks a reserve benchie back as more important than a sub for Reed. I guess he has the stats to back that up.

You'd think that he'd be playing Rein as a bash n barge middle like the Cheese.

I'm not sure that we'd benefit too much from a bash n barge Rein. He's under 90kgs, the Cheese isn't.
