Yeah but he’s a depth signing. He got used cos we needed him. Now we don’t.

People are presenting this as a fail. Really it’s showing that we are getting players back and our young bulls are living up to their potential.
We must be really deep

So giving an absolute plodder two years and a top 30 spot over two of our promising juniors is not a fail??? Bowled Shane!! Pou would be proud of that spin job.

It’s ok that you don’t get it. Maybe ask Craig Bellamy to explain it to you.

A plodder with NRL experience over two nuffies who had never played? How many ‘promising juniors’ do you think never turn out good enough to be backups? Momoisea hasn’t missed a tackle in the NRL this year (and only 3 from 101 in his career). Mataele is second in reserve grade for missed tackles. So while you think Momoisea offers nothing in attack he at least isn’t a liability in defence. Mataele might be fun to watch running the ball but if he can’t fix his defence he will lose us games if we have to use him in first grade. We better hope he can fix it, because next year he’s in the top 30.

And if @Poupou Escobar you are worried about defence I’d be more worried about the pensioner masquerading as a first grade dummy half atm. You know the bloke you are constantly defending lol.

He’s got the runs on the board. I’m not going to write him off after half a dozen games. But he’s not much use if we don’t control the ball.
