Lavaka is slow and turns like a truck-Why the love casper? You see what speed out wide does. You want fast wingers not pluggers.

Hasn't Quinlan signed somewhere else? I presumed he would've been gone before June 30.

I believe a deal with an English club is in the works and I don't think they have a June 30 deadline as such so he can leave with the clubs blessings at any time

Great to hear that Forty.

Is Lavaka top 25 this season?

And if so and considering our 2nd tier cap, I wonder if the coaching staff is now grooming him for a shoot in the top 17 over the coming month or so?

By my estimation and if he's overcome whatever those hurdles were, Lavaka should already be or will soon be our second best winger in our club.

Hope so. I think Lavaka has great potential. Big, fast and can jump and take a high ball.

Lavaka is definitely sharper than Folau. Certainly not lightning but he might prove to be quick enough.

In any event it was his first NSW Cup game and he performed well. As with all our young talents in the grade I would be happy if he can slowly build from it.

Wenty are up against it this week as they head down to Wollongong to take on the fifth placed Cutters. With Adam Quinlan injuring his knee against the Knights, Jake Butler-Fleming takes his spot at the back with Nick Walker filling in for Bureta Faraimo. The big backline reshuffle means that Halauafu Lavaka holds down his spot on the other wing.

The other noteworthy changes are the inclusions of Ryan Matterson for Jack Madden as Matterson presumably makes a return from injury while Dean Parata gets a gig on the bench after rejoining the Magpies earlier in the year.

Lavaka looked at home in the higher grade. Not really sure why it has taken him until Round 16 to get his chance but I hope he keeps his spot and can build from it.

Madden was a non-factor for most of the game. Henry did most of the playmaking.

Thanks 40. It'd be interesting to see how much Henry may improve if he could stay on the park injury free for a prolonged period of time. Thats disappointing about Madden. I remember watching him in a NSW game earlier this year where he came off the bench and he looked sharp.

Looks like Wenty have picked up Mitchell Mamary from Cabramatta. He's a prop, played 20's for the Roosters and spent a bit of time with their NSW cup feeder club Newtown last year. There were a few big wraps on him when he joined the Roosters a few years back.

He's the breast mid season signing ever made.
