I'd play him at Wenty for the rest of the season, he needs to start playing against men..

Funny thou Pauli and Tepai im pretty sure went from under 20's to first? Tepai may of had 1-2 games for wenty.

Wenty kicking off to start the game.

The Cutters roll it upfield and bomb it deep on the last where Wenty take a good catch via Nic Walker I believe to get their first possession of the game.

Wenty go on to pick up the first penalty of the game. Matterson finds touch 15m into the Cutters' half.

Aloiai takes the first hit up down the left before we quickly shift it all the way out to Lavaka on the right where he is taken by the cover defence. We come back to the left and work to the posts on the last before Henry bombs for Lavaka on the right. Halauafu gets a hand to it but loses it forwards for a 20m restart.

Oohhh and the Cutters bomb a try! On the back of the seven tackle set the Cutters march down the field and then find numbers down our left edge as Walker is beaten by a cut out pass. The home team look set for first points but the pass back to support on the inside is grassed!

Bullet = dodged.

Wenty then get the second penalty of the game as Lavaka is clipped high rucking it out.

Moses Manu up first, Ualesi to follow as we centre the ball. Pakutoa links up with Alvaro before Matterson takes the ball to the line down the left, hitting Aloiai with a short ball.

Wenty bust open on the next tackle! Offload from Lasalo to Nelson who darts through the retreating defence. Nelson props off both feet heading into the fullback and offloads to Matterson on his left who gets over the line but is called for a double movement! Would love to get a replay of that one!.

Another strong set from the Cutters as they drive deep into our field. Wakeman makes a busts up the middle after an offload from Russel Packer and he is brought down metres before the line. That brings up the last where the Cutters bomb our left edge. Nic Walker is deep in field and although he races out to make to cover tackle on his opposite the winger for Illawarra is able to dive over and score in the corner.

The conversion is missed.

Cutters kick on the fourth and from just inside their half but there is far too much on it as Butler-Fleming is happy to let it roll dead.

Matterson has a solid carry down the left as Wenty work it out. Wenty work it down their right edge with some second phase play from Pakutoa and Manu before Toutai is pulled down.

Henry completes the set with a grubber kick that picks out the fullback. Not a great end to the set.

And again the Cutters slice us open up the middle. It becomes a foot race between the two halfbacks as Henry gives chase to Crooks. Henry makes the tackle with 1m to spare but is then sent for 10min for slowing the ruck down.

Massive pressure on Wenty and the Cutters cross with some incredible luck.

A ball is spilled by Packer from a dummy half pass and is probably lucky to get called play on as it rolls perfectly into the hands of the next man standing who is able to drive over.

That gets called knock on more often then not in my opinion.

The conversion is successful.

Cutters lead 10-0

Cutters winning the ruck handily in the opening exchanges, obviously reflected on the score line as well.

Time is blown off as Pakutoa launches himself at Heath Les'Strange. Replays show it was a pretty dangerous effort and should have been penalised.

The Cutters then bomb Butler-Fleming on the last right on the goal line but he does very well to come down with the ball.

Tough set for Wenty as they grind it out and then heave it downfield but the lack of numbers show in the following set as Illawarra create an easy overlap with some blocking plays down our right edge.

Could be a long day...

Solid set after points for the Cutters as they roll into our half and bomb it. Butler-Fleming takes it cleanly again and we look to work our way back into the game.

There isn't a great deal doing in this set though so Matterson takes it down the left and stabs it in behind finding touch 10m from the Cutter's goal line. Solid result.

Illawarra again expose our 12 man defensive line as they extract metres down our right edge coming out of their half.

Wenty keep scrambling and in a bizarre passage of play from the Cutters Wenty get a 20m restart and Beau Henry is back from the bin.

Henry uses Moses Manu down the right as we breach the half way line before Matterson and Butler-Fleming combine down the right to get Walker into a little bit of space before he is taken down.

Oh man, shut the gates. Matterson takes the ball down the left edge short side and looks the cut out ball to create the 2-on-1 but it is picked by Junior Vai Vai who steaks 90m down field to score what probably amounts to a 12-point turn around.

Disastrous first half thus far.

The conversion is unsuccessful.

Another big set down the middle for the Cutters and again they bomb Butler-Fleming on the last who is up to the task once more.

Wenty then pick up a much needed penalty.

Aloiai is first up, Kamikamica comes in next and Alvaro has the third carry of the set.

Henry spins it out to Toutai down the right who has a bustling carry but is brought down.

We head back centrefield before the last where Henry bombs for Lavaka and an Illawarra error gives us six again.

After rucking it towards the sticks for a few tackles Henry sparks Wenty to life with a long cut out to Toutai who was sitting on the wing. Toutai doesn't have to do too much and crashes over in the corner.

The conversion is successful.

Wenty are on the board 6-20

Aloiai fields a shallowish kickoff and steams into the line. Kamikamica buildso ff his carry with a strong run of his own before Aloiai plays first receiver to a sweeping MAtterson who creates the overlap for Walker! Lovely play as Wenty pinch some useful metres down the field.

We then spin it right to Lavaka who trucks over the first defender but is then tackled. Henry bombs it to our left for the first time tonight but the kick is just too flat for our chasers to arrive in time and it is taken by the defence.

Best defensive set of the night for Wenty as they force to Cutters to kick from 38m off their line. Busy dummy half work from Lavaka and Toutai takes us into their half before Ualesi has a carry that earns a penalty for a strip.

A second penalty follows for an offside defender after a quick tap from Henry.

Ualesi takes the first run from the tap restart. Kamikamica takes the ball left and goes close to the line. Henry plays a short face ball to Toutai who is well tackled. Gorman brings up the fourth with a nothing run to be honest before Matterson does it all himself!

Gets the ball and shapes up for a shift to the left and just runs through the line to score! Great effort and Wenty might just be back in it!

The conversion is successful.
