Chasing points Wenty resort to low percentage plays as Matterson chips ahead for Aloiai and Walker. Both get close to the bouncing ball but the right edge centre for the Cutters gets there first.

Good work from Toutai at the end of the Cutters' set to clean up a dangerous kick.

Kassis gets driven back working the ball out and then loses the ball as he forced to the ground. Chance for more points now for the Cutters.

Good tackle from Matterson from the scrum. Nothing expansive from the home team as they ruck it out to full time.

Gee that hurts. Spirited comeback from Wenty - especially given how many Ron Massey players they were fielding today.

On the back of two dubious tries and strong work around the ruck the Cutters raced out to a 20 point lead before the Magpies clawed their way back into the fixture. Matterson and Henry both had quality moments but still need to up their involvement throughout the game. I think Josh Aloiai was the pick of the forwards with Tui Kamikamica next best. Cody Nelson was also solid around the ruck and continues to prove to be an intriguing option at hooker. Although both are probably a step short on pace at the moment, Toutai and Lavaka also had some quality touches.

3. Josh Aloiai
2. Cody Nelson
1. Beau Henry

Again, tough to hand out a 3,2,1 this week. Lots of solid efforts in the loss.

Was a lot of effort from Wenty and I was happy with the games of Toutai, Matterson, Henry, Nelson and Aloiai. Buttler-Fleming went ok for his first game at fullback and Alvaro went ok but dropped off in the second half.
Down side is the Cutters fielded a very below strength team and were still too good for us.

Isaac De Gois was in the training gallery this week so you would think he would be the late inclusion unless Peats makes a very sneaky return.

Watched the Wenty game this AM.

Vai, Nelson, Aloiai were great.

I've changed my mind on Alvaro. Big kid but plays like he's much smaller. He won't make it.

Tui has more chance if he can up his leg speed and intensity.

Watching the Cutters v Warriors NSW Cup game. Every time I see the cutters there are a number of players that impress. Shannon Wakeman is having another great game, how this guy has not played NRL I do not know. Young prop Jacob Hind is a player of huge potential. Kayne Brennan on the wing is a player with X factor. Wallace and Coster are controlling the game well. They'd all look good in a Wenty/Parra jumper next year.

Hind is only 20 and not ready for NRL yet but is a very good prospect. Wakeman is very good in both attack and defence, his problem is he fades fitness wise late in the game. He would be a very good 20 - 30 minute NRL bench player. Wallace, Coster and Brennan are also solid attacking and defensive players. I've watched them 5 times this year. Sorry Poo but once again you show yourself to be goose with no idea.

Hind is 20, not a lot of props play NRL when their 20. Wakeman, watch him yourself and make a call. I've watched him five times this year and apart from fading fitness wise towards the ends of games, he is very good. The other three are young and still up and comers. Anyway I see more in them than I see in our NSW Cup players in the same positions, except maybe Henry. That was my point. Sorry for having an opinion lol.

Does anyone know much about Wes Mourad, named on the bench for NSW Cup this weekend. Stagger? 40?

And congrats to Jack Madden, Nick Walker and Brendand Waters for being named in the Ron Massey Rep team this week,

Played for Norths earlier this year. Seemingly as a small middle forward.
