Rawalui nearly slices through from the scrum! Great win and he should have drawn a penalty for getting held down but it comes on the following tackle.

Matterson plays it down the left and throws a lovely ball to Davis who guns it for the line. Maybe there was a chance to use Lavaka there but he does himself and it tackled.

Howard is used to centre the ball before Henry runs it quickly to the right. Manly rush up and he sees the space in behind, grubbering for Tuitahi who would have scored if he could get a clean play at the ball. As it is he knocks it on with the line begging.

A penalty then comes to Manly as the touchy-come-referee blows it late in the count for offside defender after Manly dropped the ball cold.

Manly then go on to knock it on again but no call comes and the crowd bay out in anger. Disgraceful stuff and would you know it? Manly go on to score directly from it...

Henry drops of the tackle on Brenton Lawrence I believe it was and he then passes to David Williams who crashes over in the corner.

And this is why there is no accountability to top flight referees folks, the refs running around in the lower grades are outright worse.

The conversion is unsuccessful.

With the aid of the refs the Sea Eagles lock it up at 16-all.

This is incredible. There is a massive forward pass now, at least 4m there as Wolfman beats Tuitahi on the back of it. He races down the sideline and links up with Jack Littlejohn pushes up in support to score.

Words can not describe the ineptness of this performance from the officials.

The conversion is successful.

Manly hit the lead in unsavory fashion 22-16.

Wenty finally get their hand on the ball as Rawalui has a decent kick return. Wenty work the ball down their left.

Manly are disregarding the 10m makr now as the ref loses complete control of the game.

Henry bombs it on the last but there isn't much of a chase seeing Reardon brought down after a ~10m gain.

Manly loses the ball trying to offload it now and would you know it? A penalty is somehow blown. My mind is on the brink of breaking watching this rubbish.

Wenty repel Manly for a full set on their line but looked to have conceded a try on the last from a kick but the chaser was offside! Hot damn, we have a penalty!

Crooks and Gorman take the early runs before Matterson takes the ball to Manu on the left. Ualesi has a centreing carry and Moses brings up the last directly in front of the posts.

Henry bombs to the right on the last. Tuitahi bats it back to Crooks who gets the ball back to Henry who then kicks for Lavaka and Davis. Neither get a play at the ball and Manly come away with it.

Manly go on the make a mistake later in the count as they push an offload. Shocked that it wasn't penalised!

Powerful carry for Lavaka from the scrum win. The ball then comes to Manu on the second via some second phase ball but on the third Nelson can't hold onto a tough short ball from Henry.

Manly make it consecutive incomplete sets when again they are caught pushing the offload - Hodges the culprit this time.

Tuitahi and Blake Cook with the first runs before Matterson gets planted on the third.

Davis gets a run and a good offload away which sees Moses Manu make a break up the middle after a few centreing passes! Wenty then play it out to the right where the ball hits the deck once or twice but we someone get a line drop out from it all. I will take it.

Ualesi and Manu cart it up the middle before Henry plays it to Rawalui who links up with Tuitahi down the right. James has the ball reefed from his grasp and a penalty follows.

Bit of nospam29 comes though as we get caught up around the posts. We pick up another penalty though as possession builds.

We deadset have Manly to our left but insist on taking the ball right, much like the NYC really, and we come up with a stupid forward pass on the back of it. Need some vision from either Henry or Matterson in times like that.

Manly pick up a penalty coming out of their half and we resume play 5m into Wenty's half.

Crooks makes a good jam midway through the count and our right edge holds solid in the play after but Manly net themselves a line drop out when Blake Cook has to bat the ball dead from a Hodge's grubber kick.

Not much doing this set before Ualesi makes a terrific driving tackle to bring up the last but again Manly find the in goals with the grubber kick and get a line drop out.

Half break for Manly own our right but Rawalui shuts it down. The sheer weight of possession proves too heavy though as the right-edge shift from Manly catches some tired defenders in Ualesi and Rawalui out seeing Dom Reardon score.

The conversion is successful.

Another dubious penalty to Manly now, for all that it is worth. Tackle was completed but the Manly runner was interested in throwing Nelson to the ground and he lost control of the ball as a result but no onus was put on him by the ref.

A second penalty follows and now the caution comes out for Cody Nelson and the team.

A soft try follows as Manaia Rudolph steps his way through the ruck defence to score next to the posts. Wenty have simply run out of fuel, playing with a team that resembles a Ron Massey squad and dealing with not one, but two refs that have no clue.

The conversion is good.

Oh ho, now the impetus is put on the ball carrier as the ref finds a lost ball from Manly as they work it off their line. f**king ridiculous stuff.

Wenty quickly set the scrum to get time off and use Pakutoa for the first carry. Howard and then Pakutoa again trundle it up before the pill comes out to Crooks down the right where he is well tackled.

Nelson centres the ball to bring up the last and Henry kicks to the left where Lavaka does damn well to bat it back to Davis who passes to Kassis who then kicks it where it is hilariously called knocked back after Hodges sticks a hand out. I can't believe what I am seeing here.

Manly make a bust down our right edge while I am typing this but Henry then makes an intercept and links up with Tuitahi who steams down the sideline before taking the tackle. A penalty comes afterwards so Wenty get a chance to attack.

Pakutoa drags defenders to the line and Matterson looks to roll it in behind for Davis but despite taking it to the line the chasers are called offside.

Amusingly, Cheyse Blair gets his chance to impress for Manly from the bench by coming on with 3min to go.

Wenty have the scrum after a Manly error. We go right to Tuitahi then quickly back to the left with Kassis. We then play it to our right and create an overlap for Crooks who looks ripe to breeze in to score but he has the ball reefed out one-one! Geez...

We get the ball back but that was a try gone begging!

Scratch that, we score from the scrum as Davis shows too much pace for Brayden Wiliame and passes to Lavaka in the 2-on-1 to score.

Decent game from Davis when all is said and done.

The conversion is unsuccessful.

One last kick ahead for Wenty as the siren goes. Davis almost gets a chance to streak away but can't pull it in and that will do us.

I thought Davis handled the step up pretty well. Didn't get a whole lot of opportunities but he was dangerous when he did get the ball. Made a huge bust, scored 1 and set up Lavaka for another. Our left edge didn't have too many issues in defence barring a late try to Dom Reardon and even then that was on the fringe of the ruck. Not sure what it all means for him and his future at Parra though.

Most of the starting pack had real goes but you don't really expect any less from the likes of Ualesi, Kassis, Gorman, Manu and Nelson.
