Wenty are cemented at the foot of the NSW Cup table, got lapped today 58-16 by Manly, the side they put out was only just above RMC standard. Usuals , 28-10 at halftime and the opposition run in tries against players who don't train full time etc , think we worry too much about losing players like Tui et. An ongoing rebuild is necessary

Don't worry about NSW Cup results. Wenty killed it last year but this year the whole club has been decimated by injuries. That affects the lower grades even more than first grade.

We pretty much have at least 12 players out, even if you add only 5-6 players, the wenty side would be a hell of a lot better.

And people are questioning why we're signing players like Cameron king, keiran moss (unconfirmed), James hasson. Even if they don't play first grade it's pretty good to have a strong reserve grade team, means that the fans that comment on online forums have 1 less thing to whinge about.

Cheers fellas. Well I guess I can add Cornish to that list then. If we are able to pull that signing on a 2nd tier deal then we're looking good. Wenty not looking too bad next season hopefully not as many injuries next year and we can have both open age teams up the top of the table.

Is there any update on Cornish or miller?

Miller is MOM this morning for Wakefield.

@WTWildcatsRL Has to be Jacob Miller again, Simon a close second

Nothing in the press since this..

Former Wests Tiger Jacob Miller is also believed to have signed with the Eels.

The 22-year-old has spent the last three years in England.

He is currently playing for Wakefield and enjoyed a two-year stint with Hull FC prior to that.

So why is Penrith, a club who has had similar issues with injuries this season to Parra, currently running 2nd in both NSW Cup and the Under 20s?

And had a similar injury toll last year, actually worse....and they finished minor premiers and premiers in NSW Cup

Not sure how true this is, but was told by an official that there is no hard salary cap in NSW Cup, the issue is when any 2nd tier players move up to NRL

The story was and is , that Penrith spend something like over $1 million on their second tier players to bolster depth, also means less NYC move up unnecessarily to NSW Cup. I think you will find our footy manager controls the spending like it is his money, and doesnt like that sort of expenditure. He doesn't even support more expense being spent on NYC facilities

There is no salary cap in the NSW cup as far as I know. The existing caps apply to a) the Toyota Cup, b) The 25 top paid players (by the NRL club) and c) the salaries of 2nd tier players who actually play in the NRL during the season. That's it. NSW cup players who do not play in the NRL are not controlled...except by the market.
