Not sure how true this is, but was told by an official that there is no hard salary cap in NSW Cup, the issue is when any 2nd tier players move up to NRL

The story was and is , that Penrith spend something like over $1 million on their second tier players to bolster depth, also means less NYC move up unnecessarily to NSW Cup. I think you will find our footy manager controls the spending like it is his money, and doesnt like that sort of expenditure. He doesn't even support more expense being spent on NYC facilities

What a shame we are run like shit and our depth never seems to put pressure on first grade. Excellent appointment of both our CEO and footy manager by our board.

There area lot of stories out there, Sharp wanted BA as coach and Brian Smith as CEO football , couldn't get agreement as there was a push for JT for Cochcoach from some of the board, got agreement by appointing current footy manager to enable BA as NRL coach. Look at some board members not the President , as we would have had the failure that is JT here if he hadn't had to compromise

Look , it may not be kosher, but have heard it from a couple of high ups

We all know the reason why Anderson got the job over Smith, it's the same way our current CEO has the gig. So much for no jobs for the boys. Have a look at the job Brian Smith has done over in England in such a short space of time, he was exactly what our club and young coach needed. Sadly the board decided to go with the buddy system.........

I was pretty vocal on here about not getting JT. He is rubbish. Sharp did well to avoid JT

Looking forward to seeing Davis, Henry, Tepu-Smith and Ualesi in NSW Cup this afternoon. It'll also be interesting to see if Folau has lost any weight and picked up some speed.

I think I might give the call on this game a miss chaps. Not going to be a pretty affair I imagine given Wenty has 3 late withdrawals and will have ZDC backing up from the 20s.

We never condone players quitting so neither should you buddy. Hang in. A clean sweep today nothing surer.
Go Wenty.
Go XL/XX,

Yes it could be ugly. Very experienced side, Wyong.
Folau, Stanfield, Parata and Tuitahi all out for Wenty. Tepu-Smith starting for Stanfield.

Wenty this year prove it doesn't matter how good your backs are when your forwards are shite. Only two members of our pack are full time footy players. Our best hit ups will all come from our backs, but in defence they will spend the whole game back-pedalling.

What good backs in Wenty do we have?

Good bomb by Henry, we get the ball back on the Wyong, (Roosters), line and then Matterson puts a grubber through on our second tackle that leads to nothing.

In the first 20 minutes Henry has shown he is a much better 7 than Kelly. His all round game craps on Kelly. Davis is showing some good signs.
Kassis bombs an almost certain try, losing it over the line from a kick chase.
