I wasn’t right, I didn’t know until I looked it up. You were just wrong.
You also have stats to prove it. Perhaps the age is 21? It just seems all our top shelf players hit NRL by time they are 20. There is hope for Hollis yet.
I think there’s a strong correlation between players debuting young and the strength of the club they’re at. Weaker clubs are more likely to throw talented youngsters into first grade sooner because they have to. This is why WPYSA18 is better than games per year. Because a kid at a strong club is likely to debut later than an equally talented youngster at a weak club, but will catch up in wins pretty quickly.

For us, Mahoney debuted in 2018 and Drown in the first game after 2018. If 2018 wasn’t such a horror show we mightn’t have had a spot for them.

Mahoney debuted more because of the injuries to King and Kritchard than anything else.
