By the looks of things our KOE team had only a few players who have had NRL experience. Hopefully we will improve when others play next week at home.

Our focus is to be much improved in first grade but we need a good amount of reserves to be performing well to enable the first grade guys know that there is pressure coming from the reserves so that they keep on playing well.

Lost 34-6.
Opacic 4 tries for eels.
Our right side Def no good.
Sims average just going through the motions
Burgess last 20 hard to tackle.
Didn't really threaten eels line.
1 try a individual effort.
Eels put 4 average kicks near our goal-lie we failed to show any urgency to stop resulting in eels getting ball back.
Kicked out on the full from kick off and out on the full from a drop out.
Blore hb was caught on last tackle 2 times.
Fundamentally we were a rabble.
Aitken can not coach same garbage as last year

This is where the draw is wrong some clubs get a lot of Thur and Fri nights back up players can get a game on Saturday if a club has to travel interstate for a Saturday game why not play NSW cup game on a Sunday players can fly back Saturday night or Sunday morning THERES GOT TO BE AN ENQUIRY

That was so obvious as soon as they had the rule about a mandatory 24 man squad it would %&$% up the KOE cup squads

You would think that there could be some better communication between the NRL and NSWRL over scheduling of their respective draws but this just underlines the thinking that the NRL comp must go ahead at all costs and if needs be the NSW Cup Comp will no longer be played on a level playing field. Or as in the last two years just abandoned. Fans who follow their club, not just their NRL team, are ignored - after all they are just the leftovers from an earlier era, some might say from the Dinosaur Age.

Yes, why can't we see our Reserve grade play on the same day as our First grade?
Or are we just being forced to watch the Girls play?

Is Head the coach of our KOE squad? I thought that with all the 'depth' we bought, our reserve grade side would be very competitive.

Russ Aitken is the KOE Cup coach. The game on the weeke d was played in Sydney, whereas the 1st grade squad of 24 travelled to QLD, therefore the 6 or 7 players who trsvelled to QLD weren't available they invlude: Mat Feagai, Daniel Alvsro, Poasa Faamasili, Tautau Moga, Jaiyden Hunt and Micharl Molo. Of course Jackson Ford was 18th man.

It's like watching the U8's.
The Girls competition is a joke.
Give me our Reserve grade competition any day.
Incorrect. It is like watching NRL with wrestling on the ground slowly filtering in.
I'd like to see U8's hit and run as hard as the NRLW girls do..it is no joke
But I agree, reserve grade should also definitely be a pre-curser to NRL games
Maybe the girls game can replace the old Under 23's time slot
