Good win by our KOE team today against the Magpies - 46 to 4. 8 tries to 1
Daine wasn't playing today, I think he's offWas also at Lidcombe Oval today for the first time in around 35/40 years.
Still looks pretty much the same as my last visit.
I have a fairly similar view as @TheRev regarding our KOE squad.
Today, Finau (winger), Lobb, Herring and Stewart were all solid.
There was a strong breeze blowing across the ground from the west and Stewart, who I regard as a heart attack player at times, was very safe today.
The Couchman brothers were also solid.
Toby to me is at a more advanced stage of his development, but today was wearing plenty of tape around his left knee, although it did not appear to hinder him too much.
Off the bench, the two Manly boys also look very promising.
Whilst they are both big bodies, Fifita is a bit taller and looks a little slimmer.
Not much to say about the opposition, except Dane Laurie is too good in my view to be playing KOE Cup football.
No need to apologise DD! The KOE teamlists seem to change at the strangest moments. I was sure as well that Laurie was named, too. It was only when I checked the teamlists mid-game that I realised he wasn't there. My apologies @KogarahWarrior.
I checked the team lists when I got to the ground and I am sure Laurie was listed as the number 1.
The player listed now, Ogden, was very solid behind a well beaten team.

Highlights are out. Herring played very well, so did Stewart. R. Couchman great offloading. I can't speak highly enough about that Sione Finau's performance. Speed was great, great skill too. Ended up with 2 tries and an assist. Very big and strong. Someone we need to hold onto because other clubs would snap him up imo.
Herring looks good, left foot kicker as well, good to see Sione playing well had my doubts about both brothers hopefully they both kick onHighlights are out. Herring played very well, so did Stewart. Initially, I had my doubts on Haele's defence and his smarts from DH. Sione, I always thought was an exceptionally talented athlete with the physical attributes to be a star winger, but needed a LOT of development before we'd see him improve. It's good to see he's starting to become more instinctive and backing himself, as seen with the intercept and try assist kick. These boys are from VIC so I'd assume they wouldn't have much proper guidance untilt hey hit the Storm system, which doesn't develop many jnrs in the first place.Herring looks good, left foot kicker as well, good to see Sione playing well had my doubts about both brothers hopefully they both kick on
Promote them now, unless recruitment has its eye on some much better prospects.S Finau and Herring could very well be able to fill in two very important positions for us...
