I am sensing Finau Latu's mind is in turmoil going on his body language. He spilled a ball cold early in a strong attacking position and never quite looked the powerhouse of past games. Dont blame him to be honest as he is prob bitterly disappointed that he has not been extended same as LPT and Jake H. The fact Latu asked to test the market and has even viewed another clubs facilities, spells our clearly that he is at the least, contemplating leaving us. This MUST NOT HAPPEN BOD.

Mate,
Like the rest of us, you need to be patient and let the process play out.
You are, what, 19 years old and have what is rumoured to be around at least 6 clubs expressing interest in you.
No manager worth his weight is going to say, "yeah, don't worry about what is out there in the market, just resign with your current club"??!!
Hopefully it will be resolved soon.
I would like to think that if he extends with us his first grade debut will follow soon after.
PS. If the club gets held to ransom by one player manager, it would open the flood gates for all the other young talent we have coming through to be asking for overs.
During the next season ot two the reality is a few will need to be let go.

With respect, sometimes you talk absolute rubbish. Just relax and take a breath. The young pups in reserve grade are going just fine, nothing to stress about.

LPT, Latu, Nick T, Halangahu could all make the step up hopefully in 2026 and hopefully all 4 get their 1st grade debut sometime this season

Just wanted to say that what I love about Cup team is the emphasis on defence. Had a quick scout to the NSWRL website and we have pretty much the best tackle efficiency of all teams.

What makes it even more impressive and important is that we have such a young team. A lot of the time, when young players step up to first grade, they struggle wuth the defensive aspect the most. However, players like Egan and Stewart (the latter barely even had a full season in cup from memory) have had no problem, which gives me faith for when Halangahu, LPT and the likes step up - a real credit to Talau and all staff involved.
