Not sure if Pumba wants to run this one, but I'd be happy to if he isn't keen.

You know the deal. You've got six points to give out however you'd like. No more than 3 points can go to any one player.

No negatives. No whammy.

3. Paterson - simply outstanding. was the superstar we all know he can be. could be in for an absolutely tremendous year.
1. Taufua - proved me wrong tonight. was excellent in defence, made some great cover tackles and scored what turned out to be the match winner
1. Simpson - when we needed a big run, he always puts his hand up. was very damaging on the right fringe and had a real flashback to the simpson of old.
1. Mullen - his long range kicking today was absolutely first class and was a big part of our dominance in the first half. took on the line and always looked dangerous. went in to his shell when the forwards weren't going forward (realistically we simply didn't have the ball for the majority of the 2nd half), but so do most halves.

Lame.

If we are still having this argument I vote for the strict 3-2-1 :D

After a victory like that I'm glad we have the option to give out a point to more than 3 players :p

2 Hilder
1 Cross
1 Paterson
1 Taufua
1 Uate

Generally though, I thought everyone was good across the board. Fa'aoso started how he finished last year, his impact kept us playing at that high level.

All the backs were very solid. Uate was good except for that 1 bad error.

Halves each had one of their best games in recent times even though there were still couple odd decisions by each.

Hilder was amazing, seems to play his best at hooker IMO. Cross had an unreal game, set the tone, never got bent back, no dropped balls.

Evarn looks very solid.

Very happy overall if you can't tell :D

Tolar should be reminded he is a front rower though..

3. Simmo really wound back the clock
2. Pato always looked dangerous
1. McDonnell directly saved 2 tries tonight and really stood up

Wow, tough calls to make this week and I have decided to stick strictly to the 3-2-1 format this season

Simpson - 3 best forward on the park
Cross - 2 took it to the dogs early and establised our early dominance
Macdonell - 1 In trying circumstances, his positional play was very good, and that effort to get back at the end and claim the ball was superb.

Pato - 2 (what a beast as aqua said in the other thread!)
Simpson - 1
Tolar - 1 (not too much chat about him tonight, and with some pretty impressive stats he deserves some KOTW love)
McDonnell - 1
Mullen - 1 (dominant long kicking display)

Hilder unlucky to miss out, thought he was sensational too, though no doubt he will scrape in a fair few 1 points from me here and there throughout the season for topping the tackle count :p

2 - Pato - looked awesome.
2 - Hilder - was everywhere, as usual.
2 - Tuimavave - great debut from "Evarn Almighty".

Unlucky to miss out - everyone else except Ndaira, but especially Mullo and Crossy.

3 - Patterson
2 - Simpson
1 - Cross

Special mention for Evarn. He will be a great buy for the knights if he keeps injury free

Give six to one guy, or one point to six guys.
I won't be voting this week as I didn't see the game...

However the bolded rule is stupid. I could give one player my 6 points for every game of the year - that's 144 points. Probably good enough for a top 5 place on previous years. That's how easy the thing could be manipulated.

Make the rule that it has to be distributed between 3 players at a minimum or the thing is a sham.

IF it is the same as previous years, you can only give a maximum of 3 points to a player.

You can give 2 players 3 each, or 3 players 2 each etc.

Settle down guys, I don't think Mis is deliberately trying to sabotage the thing...probably didn't even sit down for more than 5 seconds to quickly remember how voting went for KOTW. Wouldn't surprise me if he agreed with the 'no more than 3 points per player' system though (worked well last year), but I'll stop putting words in his mouth and let the man speak for himself :p
