kremmer not charged for kung fu kick

That sort of confrontation between props is a throw back to an earlier era and as long as no one is hurt or put a serious risk of injury, I don't have a problem with it.

On this occasion Klemmer was schooled by JWH, who was a clear winner.

On that particular run Klemmer seemed to loose the plot and he was probably lucky not to get charged with something.

He is only a young bloke trying to compete and going about it the wrong way, hopefully he will learn and compete in a tough hard, but legal way in future.

IMO they always give a bit of extra latitude in confrontations between props and most props probably prefer it that way.

It is about where you drawn the line as I said about if players are hurt or if the action is reckless and likely to cause injury than action should be taken.

In this case it was borderline and he must have got a bit of extra leniency for being a young inexperienced player.

That's taken from NRLStats.com that are never right. Check the offical NRL match centre stats. Klemmer got 158m, SBW 155m and JWH 150m

Its amazing two stats providers can get such different stats on what would be a pretty easy stat to calculate.

Whilst NRLStats.com/Sports Data are no longer the official stats provider to the NRL, I'd take their stats over Champion Data (a company part owned by the AFL who have had no connection with the NRL before this season).

Klemmer has no fear at all. Doesn't give a f**k about who he is facing.... Guess who he reminds me a lot of? Young JWH.

He f**ked up his timing on this one. He'll be better next time.

Lol people acting like Klemmer didn't intentionally kick out. He shit himself too as he dropped that ball off the tap, he was bashed all night long. Offered nothing. The so called big bad merkinerbury forward pack got destroyed.

Unfortunately, if you look at the player stats on NRL.com for the game, Klemmer gained 158 metres, to SBW's 155 metres and JWH's 150 metres, who were respectively the 2nd and 3rd most metre gainers in that game.

He also did it from more runs than JWH who was far more effective.

Yeah, you also know a prop like that is going to get their fair share of suspensions.

JWH has ad a few, and Klemmer is probably going to get his fair share.

The teams often lose when the enforcer prop is out suspended, but it is part of the risk these guys take.

It is just round 1 mate, JWH was the clear winner this time.

But Klemmer will be back for round 2.

I'm expecting a running battle between these 2 and a few suspensions to both as a result.

That is how JWH plays, and it looks like it is how Klemmer plays.

Kneeing Corey Hughes should mean instant knighthood tbh

Just as kicking a Bulldogs player in the head, accidental or otherwise, should.

Honestly, the people comparing Klemmer to Slater are so delusional it isn't funny. Slater has been catching the ball in a similar fashion for years and Klemmer decided to run in to his foot. The MRC threw the charge out. What does that tell you?

When you think about it they are actually pretty similar. Both players using their foot to prohibit players from tackling them.

I'm going to go a different way on this one. I don't think he did any harm. If he made any contact, it was minimal. It looked like some bizarre goose-step gone wrong rather than the kung-fu kick people are pretending it is. He's a big gangly kid, he was a bit out of ideas, probably tired, and there was no damage done.
If he does it again (and makes significant contact) by all means decide that it's deliberate grubbiness, but as weird as it appeared there was no harm done this time.
And, for what it's worth - I'd have him at my club tomorrow ahead of any young prop in the game.

Protected Species.

If he was a Queenslander he would be suspended.

I'm sure he knows someone who once pointed to somewhere on a map that was reasonably close to Queensland so that practically makes him a Queenslander doesn't it?

He should be suspended on that basis alone and not his ridiculous goose step which gave us all a good laugh
