It is a huge step up for him. I just hope that the game is tight and NZ don't get blown away. It would not be a good thing to be a fullback in those circumstances. Based on his progression and other players around him, he is the best chance to be our regular centre in first grade next year and I thinks at this stage that is all that can be said. Being picked for NZ doesn't mean he has all of a sudden become a definate first grade starter.

Anyone remember Darren Lockyer's test debut, I'm pretty sure it was against NZ?

Absolute shocker at fullback, conceded tries with handling and defensive errors.

He seems to have recovered okay!

Well done to INU!!! I hope he has a big game. I can only see positives for Parra, if he goes well it could take his game to a new level.

Anyone see the 7 or 9 news sports story about Inu's selection tonight?

Mentioned how he was at church praying when he got the call and later told of a 12 month religion thing which Inu has stated he is keen to do soon and he then mentioned that his contract runs out next year so he might look to do it then.

I say good on him for doing whats important to him but from an Eels point of view that would be disapointing but its only for one year. Just hope he came back to Parra at the end of it.

I think I remember him almost giving up the game a year or so ago to do the religous thing that you mention.
Mormon is it?
or 7 Day adventist maybe?

The morman church.

I'd be more than happy to see this kid do what he wants to do, you know why??...having met him a couple of times i can honestly say that he's the most sincere, genuine and kind hearted kid running around around at the moment, this kid is a footballer minus the lair, ego and arrogance of the others.

of football takes a backseat for him for a year or 2 I would wish him all the best in what ever spiritial endeavours he's out to achieve..

goodluck to him.
