Tim Simona has shown his talent at fullback previously.

He runs it back straight and hard on kick returns.

It's just been too early for kurtis rowe. He's not big enough for staters

Reminds me of Groat & Woods and the comparisons

Rowe & Teddy

Rowes been thrown into the deep end like a lot of this years players were last year...he'll be better for it in the long run, hes had two games ffs

We all bitched and moaned a few years back when one player was injured and Sheens shuffled 6 blokes around to accomodate....Potters replacing halves with halves, wingers with wingers and 1's with 1's

I get what you're saying but he has shown zero.
No glimpse of anything, no pace, not defensively solid and ordinary support play.
I guess he catches bombs well but that won't win you a NRL gig at fullback.

How many first grade quality fullbacks do you think we should carry?

I would think the NSW cup one would be NRL standard as back up, even under 20's should show glimpses of skill to be allowed to make the jump up in grade.
What glimpses of skill stands out to you with Rowe?

As I said, hes been thrown into the deep end.
He has all the skills that got him from matts to ball to 20s to NRL...every one of those steps the skills are honed and fine tuned, new skills learnt along the way, the last step is the biggest....have some f**king patience and give the kid a break, he'll be better for it all in the long run, its called junior develepment

But some lack the talent to take the last step. He may be one. I love that Potter tried to replace a fullback with a fullback instead of reshuffling the whole team. But if he has another shocker, this kid could cost us, and he might have to rethink who plays there

Maybe we should have given Nathan Waters another few games after his debut...
Should we have just had a bit of patience?
Some guys just should not be there.

So who would you put there Charlie?
The reggies fullback?
A winger?
A center?

Im not saying Rowe WILL make it as a first grader, I dont know that yet...but the club will take these chances he's getting into consideration when contract time comes up.

If you dont give them a go, you'll never know

I'm 100% with you Charlie. Rowe has shown absolutely nothing. However Ink is right, there really aren't any other options. I'm against moving Simona back there. Least disruptions the better. Lets just pray Teddy is back soon. If we can jag a win this week and then there's the break next week.

We have given Rowe a go and now I think we all know.

Richards just spent 8 years playing fullback and winning Man Of Steel in England.
Surely capable and minimal disruption.

Simona is more disruptive but prefer disruption and Lulia/Akoala than no disruption and Rowe.

I love Potter playing like for like but it cant be the opposite extreme to Sheens.

I would just like to see him get involved , i have yet to see him chime into the backline , trail a forward or follow a kick through in attack where as in defence he has failed to complete the tackle or been too late to make the tackles on several occasions .It could however just be a confidence thing that needs addressing.
