I should know I worked and met them in Japan, pre 1995. But I don't remember them doing much work! There were plenty of those situations. The company you refer to- tell you're mate he got a dud contract. Boy, made to work....lucky union players can now make an honest living ;-)

Well you really must think our little competition is crap and New Zealand's is the be all and end all!
Looked to me in the schoolboy game this year that our little players were as talented as theirs.

I can't think of one rugby league forum that isn't tainted with the vile/condescending behaviour of union supporters. Should see the fear, taunts, prejudice & so on, in the RL section of www.thefanatics.com

If you read autobiograhies of players like Stuart Evans, he states in union you had your 'elite' union players who made a nice living and then those who didn't. It was a good reason he said that they went across to league to get what they were due minus the hypocrisy.
I wonder if those five All-Blacks came across Alfie Langer while he was digging holes for Ipswich City Council during his Jets days??
bayrep said::lol: so much for die hard league fans spouting off that Union has to buy in talent then. If it is true then it shows the double standard in opinion that some people have on this site.

Mr Chip on your shoulder , before 1995 I was working with five All Blacks digging holes on the road and building fences for a company own by our club president .
Three years later (1996) they were all heading out to Japan , France and England .
I don't believe he was? I've been reminding a friend to get me his signature a few times, and a couple days after you posted this she introduced me to him, with rugby one of the last things on his mind.rugged said:Kurtley Beale is now in the AIS for rugby union.
