A lot of Queenslanders that are doing 2 years of year 12, so in age they will be comparable to the NSW guys. There are actually more Queenslanders than NSWers, which is amazing. Also a Victorian guy and one or two from ACT.

Kurtley Beale was actually under 16 last year.

One of the QLD under 16 players went on the Aust schoolboys tour last year. Not sure why Beale wasn't there. He played for NSW u16 instead.

My mistake.

I just read he was under 12 in 2001.

So was he year 9 or 10 at school last year? How old are NSW people in these grades?

He was in year 10 last year but was under-age, meaning he was born in 1989. As a result he was under 15's.

As long as he doesn't go to league then as he has a league background. He may be already signed to one of the NRL clubs.

I dont care which code he plays ,as long as the public gets the opportunity to watch him play in a higher competition, and he enjoys it.
Amazes me why the report did not mention his league origins, why the secrecy?

He repped for NSW in primary schoolboys and played for the NSW independent schools in the developing states in under 15s and made the Aust developing states team.

Still doesnt explain the omission of his junior league background in the article.

Was I trying to explain it? I was trying to explain his league background. I have no agenda.

Not suggesting one moment you were. I am trying to figure out why these stories omit pertinent info thats all , you didnt write the story so no need to get defensive.

I played against Kurtley and my mate goes to school with him. He is a Souths junior but will no longer play for them any more. He was on a scholorship at Joeys for the Aboriginal kids and in it it stipulated that he must be allowed to play League outside of Joeys commitments. People are saying Penrith have wrapped him up and he is also on the souths REDS program.

With the influence of the Ellas and the massive connections that Joeys have in the Rugby world I very much doubt he will come to League. He is very talented and I think before he finishes year 12 he will play for the Waratahs.

I know for certain that he is getting paid alot of money first year out of school to play for the Waratahs.

I cannot say how much though as it would probably not be wise.
