And people have the hide to say there is no nepotism involved. Kyle will earn more then 5 times the average Australian by the time his contract expires at the end of 27 (maths could be off blame scotch) There is better players out bush then he is, he is no half end of story but Flanno won't drop him he couldn't do it to weak.Signed a multi year deal with Roosters they flicked him after 1 season as they are a club that strives for success.
We not only accept mediocrity but reward it with a new multi year deal, apples and oranges no wonder we are a laughing stock.
What I see from just seeing them playing and warming up is there is a real lack of enthusiasm. It's like our soul is gone, there is something not right within the playing group or even the coaching staff. Just posted about Dean young taking over and giving them a spray at halftime.. that's not a good lookI am in agreement with what has been said about our halves. None have the "magic" touch about them. No blistering speed to chime in and charge through gaps to set up tries left, right and centre. Poor kicking games all round, no game management and playmaking skills. Having poor halves lessens the team's ability to score tries when needed.
Ryan Carr and Dean Young have had sufficient time to really do something positive with our squad of players. They too have no real ideas how to close out a game and Flanno needs to improve his coaching skills as well.
Just getting beaten in three games by a point shows that we just lack the ability to grab the game by the balls and take control. We just cannot take control and this means our leaders lack that ability. We have suffered the Hunt syndrome for far too long - who do we have that can control our outcomes for wins?
Me too but won't happen as Flanagan said in his presser game management wasn't the problem tonight.I would rather a bloody Lobster then Kyle playing next week.. seriously.
Spot on, but people will still just ignore all the signs that are in plain sight. Flanno has a hand in his coaching staff, the game plans, the attack and defensive structures the head coach is almost 100% involved in the way he wants it but the assistants job is to implement the system they and Flanno have drawn up over the offseason. Carr has done well with our Attack but it's all gone downhill real fast, the whole coaching staff needs replacing with a younger coach who has experience working with high quality players and high quality coaches. Josh hannayLosing by a point is "just as bad" as losing by 20, you still lose. No closing out ability by anyone. Just do something for heavens sake. What instructions were Gutho and Cookie yelling out to the guys to get the job done. I knew that when Cook came back on we could not score to win the game.
I have some doubt about having Gutho and Cook as co-captains. Flanno has got to appoint Gutho to lead solely. Have the signings of Gutho, Cook and Holmes been truly good? I don't think so and throw in Ilias who was Cook's recommendation for the club to sign him. He hasn't got a clue about who is good nor does our recruitment man who is never, ever going to get the players that we need.
I have not written too much on this Forum lately as I am not really impressed with the way things are turning out for the club. Winning 3 out of 9 games so far points to a poor ending this year. To be honest, we just lack good players and good coaches - all of the good ones are at Belmore at the moment.
What a response from the Dogs after a halftime chat with Ciraldo. I'll give credit where it's due and i thought the raiders where going to win by 30+ that's how a good team responds, our team has no ticker.Losing by a point is "just as bad" as losing by 20, you still lose. Yep, you know if a team will end up playing finals footy when you see a team like the Bulldogs and they definitely will end up in the top 4 and very likely minor premiers the way they are travelling. It just goes to show how the Dogs management are doing stuff to grow the team. If a player is failing they don't want him and somehow they are able to offload him without too much fuss and get an abler replacement. Good coaching by Ciraldo and his assistants mainly Jason Taylor helps a lot. What a response from the Dogs after a halftime chat with Ciraldo. Even if Penrith miss finals which I doubt.. and the Clearys achieve nothing for the rest of their careers that 4 in Row would have been enough of an achievement..Yep, you know if a team will end up playing finals footy when you see a team like the Bulldogs and they definitely will end up in the top 4 and very likely minor premiers the way they are travelling. The two former Assistant coaches at the Panthers - Ciraldo and Webster are doing really well this year. They know what is needed to win premierships following their successful stints alongside Ivan Cleary. The salary cap has not done Penrith any favors and they could miss out on the top 8 this year..
