Heartbreaking news for the Dragons. I feel badly for him. The kid has rotten luck.

What little genuine creativity and x-factor they have in their squad is reduced even more with this news. Hard to see where they're going to score enough points to beat any decent teams.

@FOXSportsNews Reports emerging that St George Illawara's Kyle #Stanley will miss 2013 season due to another #ACL injury

Looks like another 10th-14th season for them.

Poor kid, just getting his chance...

Dragons are a fading force unfortunately for their fans. Strongly run club though, At least they'll never be as bad as the true basket cases of the comp (you know who u are).

Poor guy, didn't deserve it. With Soward only NSW cup standard it's hard to see who's going to partner Fien in the halves now.

It would be unfair to say the Dragons will be spooners, but one thing is for certain; they won't make the finals.

Fact: when you do the ACL your market value halves, twice and your really lucky to get a one year contract.

Kid needs to look for further career alternatives - the reality is no club will risk their salary cap on a player that can't make it on the paddock.

We have seen it before real talent stuffed up by chronic injuries where clubs can't afford to keep them.

Sad cause the kid is really talented and has a good attitude to the game.

He must surely have traded in his ligaments for something.

Who the f**k does 4 knees? 2 on each.

On the bright side, if he ever makes it back he won't favor one over the other.

 That a common occurence is it bunniesmong?

Terrible news for Style, hopefully it's not career-threatening. Poor bloke.

Ah well, we'll still challenge for the 8.

I agree with the posters who say it'll hurt us as a team. Massive hopes for him and they were well founded. He had class ooozing out of him.

Never be the same now. Mental demons will kill his potential if not the knees themselves.

Can Beale play 6?

ey as much as I loathe the dragons and all they stand for including every man and woman and child that has ever uttered the words "go dragons"
...I would not like that quade bloke to go there.
He is bad news...the club has done great to get across a great image over the last few years

I dare say the club wouldn't risk it. Give him over a full year to recover completely, or maybe give him 2 or 3 games at the end of the season and risk blowing it out again... The decision is pretty straight forward.

We have a talented junior from Manly in Josh Drinkwater who'll likely play a significant role this season now. Or we have two talented fullbacks in Evander Cummins and Adam Quinlan who may get a shot at first grade now, and perhaps Beale may play a bit of 5/8 depending on how the season pans out. Absolute tragedy for Kyle, but I suspect it won't have as much impact impact as many in here would like to think. Our biggest issues last year was lack of variety in the forward pack and Hornby, both of those issues have been resolved, so overall we still have a much better squad. We'll also have a much better hooker rotation with two of the most promising juniors in the league in Rein and King (versus Young or Fien playing bitpart roles). A fit Stanley would have made it even better, but alas that isn't going to happen now.

Gee you would have thought the bloke was due for some luck. I don't think he's ever shown much in first grade, but that's not really the point. Hopefully he can somehow make his way back.
