Boggles my mind why we keep playing CT as well his hammies aren't up to it and we have one less player on the bench as a result. He has a good year in 2024 and has been crap since I can't believe I'm saying this but Feagai is our best option there and he's an absolute dud.
Sloan and Tu were bog average today but deserve to be first picked next week. That's how we are going.

The human side of me feels sorry for Shane but he has proven to be a very poor coach and a terrible thing to happen to our club. This loss tonight is pure ego and our club have so much to answer for in allowing it to play out

Nowhere to hide now
BigRedV, I agree mate. As I've aged I've softened. I also feel sorry for Shane, and if I was one of his mates I would be pulling him aside and telling him to go and smell the roses, enjoy being a grandfather and mowing the lawn. The game, and his interpretation of it has passed him by. As for Kyle...every time I hear him interviewed I think to myself "he's a decent young man". And he is; he's just not a 1st grade NRL standard player. Neither am I. No shame in that. I think that kind pragmatism has to enter the equation; both Flanagans need to go for the club to improve; and I feel no joy in stating that.

He gets paid big money and has a fox gig to walk straight back into. He has it a lot easier then any of us he will be fine

Tu drops it over the line and a f**king brain fart from luc with a 3 on 2 just sums up how f**king dumb we are.
Through the hands luc or a soft kick.

No wonder we cant win.
Another week another way of losing a game bombing a certain try and luc.

Then suli slow as shit watches turbo.
They score game over.

I can enjoy the rest of weekend knowing I dont have to watch these pricks.

Unfortunately when a coach is worried about his own job instead of what’s best for the club, then it’s time to go. I honestly reckon he be gone by Monday, his body language is embarrassing, hang in there….we know exactly what ur feeling, unfortunately for too many years

Our problem lies more with the players than the coach. Yes, he has a great deal to answer for, but its the players who for the majority, are not first grade quality and unable to think quickly on their feet.

When Wayne came and provided us with a couple of great years and a premiership, he brought with him a list of players on the end of their careers. They combined well though with the mediocre players we had and played well above expectations. To the point, expectations shifted to accommodate the way they played. The players we had though had guts and determination and a love of the jersey.

Flanagan has brought in some level older heads with the mix of players we had on hand after some disastrous years. Maybe he was hoping to mix the group into a Wayne style winning formula, maybe thats all he could get from around the available players. To be fair, the media takes the piss out of us at every opportunity, run us down regardless of if we win or not and with the number of ex players (who hate the Dragons for their own reasons) who now manage talent (Anasta comes to mind straight off the bat), its a wonder no one wants to come here.

The players, at the end of the day, are the ones on the field that have been given a game plan to follow. Mistakes, stupid plays, lack of "something different" in attack are our biggest issues.

We do have some great juniors who may or may not mature into something special. We don't have anything special though at the moment though. That is why we are 0 - 6. Is there an answer though? Thats the 64 million dollar question. And frankly, I dont believe we will have one. Not now or anytime soon. Yes, we can sack the coach and reset, AGAIN. Or we can start and understand we need a rebuild. Do a Penrith.

We want results. That makes the club nervous. The club makes the coach nervous. The coach makes the players nervous. Lets understand we need to rebuild and accept that success will be another few years away but commit to that rebuild. Push the old wood out. Bring up the new wood and coach them properly. I believe Flanagan is a good coach and one capable of this commitment. The current crop of players though needs to be thinned. Drastically.

Holmes, Gutherson, Kerr, Flanagan, Lawrie, Feagai, Cook, and probably Guler need to go to bring up the juniors we currently have in reserve. Will they get results? probably not, at least for a while, but we will see a different version of this once proud club.

Sadly, Manly were not great tonight, which says measures of how bad we are going. Two of Manlys better players though were Dragons rejects. Food for thought.

Flanagan’s job is on the line. The team has lost 9 games in a row. Probably need to make some massive changes. Reserve grade is going great. Lots of young talent to pick from.

Flanagan: nah…we’re good.
This 100% this, we finished 15th last year should we sign anyone nah we are good we brought back Kerr who was never good and and unproven halfback that's all we need.
