If Flanagan can't tell that Loko is better than Guler and Lawrie then i think he must go to a doctor for a head scan. Loko in reserve grade last game scored 1 try, ran 252 metres from 20 runs, had 2 line breaks, 4 tackle breaks, 100% tackle efficiency with 17 tackles. He's too good for reserve grade, he's been ready for NRL since last year
Yep, I don't know why he's not giving him any game time.

I like how after the game Flanno more or less blamed the wingers for the loss. He said something like "we created chances out wide but our execution was not good enough". The only one that was butchered was Luc's kick wide which was to strong and should have gone through the hands. Not really the wingers fault. What about Flanno being tackled on the last with his dummy and run. He does it every week. Flanno is throwing every player under the bus bar his son. This is becoming very toxic. I would hate to be in this squad that is for sure with that coaches way of thinking.

Saints should bring in coaches to improve the team not make them worse. This is the 4th one now that has got them backwards.

If Kyle Flanagan is not dropped to KOE Cup tomorrow, not put on the 1st grade bench, but dropped altogether, than his father has completely lost the plot. I am betting Kyle Flanagan will be in the 1st grade squad tomorrow. As you say Slippery, "this is toxic".

Setu Tu dropping the ball over the tryline right on half time was unforgivable IMO. I'm not defending Flanno overall but he had every right to be furious about that. Having said that, that's what happens when you recruit a 27 year old reserve grade winger who had played for several clubs and was yet to crack a first grade spot and somehow that guy is deemed to be one of the best wingers at the club........

Sloan for all his faults is/was the best winger at the club, even though it isn't his preferred position. Flanagan hates him so much that he decided before a ball was kicked that Tu, Fale and CT were all ahead of him, very bizarre and can't help feel sorry for Sloan on that.

Wasn't Sloan our top try-scorer in 2025? Whilst the rest of our backline couldn't run out of sight on a dark night, Sloan can motor. Given the backline is so pedestrian, surely you would want one fast back? Surely? Not old Flanno. Flanno-Ball consists of 5 mundane hit-ups, that usually get us to about 10 meters from halfway, followed by a bomb; that no-one chases and contests. Rinse and repeat. Oh sorry, if we are anywhere near the oppositions try line, our # 7 is under instruction to ignore outside support, to try a wicked sidestep and get tackled 5 meters out. And don't forget the other stunning variation; turning an edge back-rower back into the defensive line. That really confuses the opposition defence. Over and over and over again. I'm thinking root canal without anaesthetic would be more enjoyable than watching this. Oh, and this attacking structure is what they practiced for 4 months in the off season. This is Flanno-Ball folks. Seriously!!!

You forgot our other key play…the deep grubber that goes straight over the dead ball line and allows for the 7 tackle set. Where more times than not the opposition then scores.

For sure other teams score those tries we manage to stuff up.
On top of that most teams have a freakish player that will get or create a try when nothings doing.
Hammer, Weekes, Bula, Purdue, Faalogo, Walsh, Cleary, Deardon etc.

Sloan is the closest thing we have, he played well last game, better than Gutho.

He has speed but he doesn't have the strength, he's great in open space though I have never seen him stepping players and creating that space for himself like other fullbacks seem to do.
He should be a threat when returning the ball from a kick return with a bit of room to move but he just takes a regular tackle and is an easy target.

Still rather see him over Gutho at fullback.

Hopefully Drinkwater deal can get done so we have a player that can add some threat in attack.

Respectfully, I think you are underestimating Tommy turbos involvement in stopping that try

Did you see Setu Tu' try? He may have bombed one, but he scored one he should not have. The cover defence had him, but somehow he fell, got up and beat them to get over the line. He did very well to score that try as it was no way near straight forward. It made up for the drop ball, for sure. The coach can't just look at the bad and not the good. Kyle is the only player that escapes this treatment. I have never heard him be critical on anything his son has done, yet any other player is mentioned. He mentiones a drop ball but what about the last tackle play where his son dummied and got tackled? No kick nothing just selfish play. If that was Atko forget it, he would be dropped like Illias. The team has become absolutely toxic.

can't take the risk of dropping KF he'd be stranded in Cup not having the halves game to force his way back into 1sts, so SF has to come up with pretext to keep him there. The conflict of interest is nuts ... no other player has this luxury it has to be corrosive to morale.

KF just needs 1 try assist and he will be elevated whilst anyone else requires 2 tries, 2 try assists, 4 linebreak assists, 20 tackles, nil errors, 200+ running mtrs for at least 25 consecutive games to be a chance to go on the interchange bench.
